I am sure someone will find this useful. Think of a Drupal powered clone of Google Groups (ne Dejavu).
If Drupal had had this back when SSLUG[1] was looking at CMS' for their 'new' site (still in development), it might have had a much better stance since it seems we've/they've had to write a module from scratch for what they ended up using (Zope/Plone, IIRC).
