Gabor, I do humbly apologize :) 126 "follow-ups" on that thread..., so I can't imagine there is another opinion to be said that wasn't said back then. The new functionality is fantastic. The UI is good, once you understand how it works. The terminology is iffy. But certainly at this point, after all that discussion that went on in April -- this is what it is. I'll volunteer to help with a handbook page if it hasn't already been written. Shai On 11/19/07, Gábor Hojtsy <gabor@hojtsy.hu> wrote:

First -- the functionality you describe sounds absolutely wonderful -- awesome!
I was unable to find the original issue.
I just updated to the latest Drupal 6 head and I can't find the "Show summary in full view" checkbox. I thought it would be on node/add or in the post settings. Where is it?
Is "summary" now its own field?
Shai
Presumably if the summary field is left blank, Drupal will auto generate a teaser as in the past based on the settings at: admin/content/node-settings
Well, instead of presuming, just try how it works. Push the split button, see another text field appear, see the check box. It is good to do this homework before weighting on the issue :) http://www.drupal.org/node/107061
