[drupal-devel] Improving usage for devel ML
(please follow-up to infrastructure@drupal.org) Hi there! In the (distant) past the Drupal devel mailinglist was often used for discussions about the (technical) future of the project or some of its modules. Such discussions are now rare events. Today it is mostly a dump for gated messages from project module. I propose to stop this gating. All people who want the messages mailed can get them by subscribing to the Drupal project at http://drupal.org/project/issues/subscribe Opinions? Cheers, Gerhard
I agree with Gerhard on this. The mailing list is just a conduit for issues. Another solution is to have another mailing list for issues (drupal-issues), and leave drupal-devel to be development discussions and anything for and by developers. Good one Gerhard. I agree too, It makes little sense to receive all messages twice ;) Op zaterdag 10 september 2005 22:03, schreef Khalid B:

I, for one, like the e-mail immediacy of the project issues (even though I lack the time to do much about them these days :-( ). +1 on moving them to drupal-issues. -Eric On 10 Sep 2005, at 13:03, Khalid B wrote:

Seems everyone ignore this ;) [cc: to infrastructure, if it lets me...]

+1 for removing issues from drupal-devel One additional argument: you can't search/read only real talk in web archives.

IMO issues should be sent to drupal-issue-auto@ or something... On the url you can't subscribe to future projects imo ;) -- Piotrek irc: #debian.pl Mors Drosophilis melanogastribus!
