umm. perhaps if it was collapsed by default, and each of them had a div around them that would automatically scroll. On 8/7/06, Konstantin Käfer <mail@kkaefer.com> wrote:

The tree control is not yet completely ready. I just wanted to show you that I am working on it.
Here is another impressive jQuery demo with little practical use in Drupal. http://www.willjessup.com/sandbox/jquery/solar_system/rotator.html
jquery is one of those magical somethings that you didn't know you were missing until you found it. It's the one patch i'd vote for to get in after code freeze, if they don't get the 1.0 released under a gpl license before that. 4.8 with jquery would make me a very happy developer =) On 8/7/06, Khalid B <kb@2bits.com> wrote:

I think we should just get agreement on that now. We're already looking at maintaining a 4.7 backport patch.

Totally agree. I'd even say that, once it's in, we allow simple ui improvements even after the code freeze. Imagine something like [1] for the menu system or taxonomy ... regards, frando [1] http://www.eyecon.ro/interface/sortables.html

so many people are interested in that back port. how complex is the patch to begin with ?
Patch is here: http://drupal.org/node/69786 I was able to include jquery.js in a drupal 4.7 with minimal changes. That is, I added some of my own jquery scripts, without modifying drupal's javascript at all. See comment #25 in the above thread. It's working OK as far as I can tell. -Dave On Monday 07 August 2006 10:45, Adrian Rossouw wrote:

Hi all! There's tons of old issues out there, that could/should be closed, fixed, duplicated or moved to version: CVS. http://drupal.org/project/issues?projects=3060&versions=10236,9738,9702,7695... Lets get rid of those! If you take time to just close one or a few we'll be one step closer.

Thanks for that. I am tracking those old issues, too, even though I have not featured them in my report, yet: http://lists.drupal.org/archives/development/2006-08/msg00248.html See (Queue #7): I was focussing on bug reports, only, aware that there were many feature requests left for 4.5. Let's not close them indiscriminately, but it is a fact that at least some of those are now covered by a contrib module (give a link to module homepage and close issue). Otherwise a feature request, is still a feature request and should be bumped back up to cvs. I'll feature this list next week. thanks, augustin. I've been waiting for a sane AJAX library. I'm pretty close to sold on jQuery. On 8/9/06, Bèr Kessels <ber@webschuur.com> wrote:
