Automatic disabling of comments
I have seen this done on the web and surely there is a module in Drupal, but after half an hour of seraching can't find it. I need to set comments, preferably by content type, to disabled or read-only after a certain length of time. I don't think it would be hard to write, but I'd hate to re-invent a wheel if it already exists. Does anyone know of such a module? Hi Nancy, We use: http://drupal.org/project/commentcommander Though someone will probably also say: "Rules can do this!" Which it can, I'm sure. I would try using rules (http://drupal.org/project/rules) for that. It has a scheduling mechanism built in. --- appa
I wrote Comment Closer and Comment Commander. I would suggest Comment Commander, though it has a few features you may find unnecessary, like the devoweling filter. One improvement is Comment Closer assumes you want to automatically close comments on all node types, which can surprise you if you install it like 1 minute before cron runs. Comment Commander doesn't do that. On Fri, Oct 15, 2010 at 8:17 AM, António P. P. Almeida <appa@perusio.net>wrote:
