Greetings; I am installing drupal-4.5.2 and have hit a snag. I have mysql Ver 11.16 Distrib 3.23.49 and Apache/1.3.26 (Unix) When I try to open the first page I get an error Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_connect() in /var/httpd/drupal/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 31 I have a feeling that I have missed something in the install procedure but I have been over everything a couple of times and can't spot anything. TIA! Dennis

Hello, I am trying to set up a block for an RSS feed. When I do this on my test machine it works. When I do it on the clients ISP machine, I get errors: 2005-03-16 03:22 warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to www.xyz.or. [drupal-support] front page summary of latest posting by category

I want a front page which lists only the latest posting in each category / term of a given vocabulary. Am I going to have to develop a new module to do this, or is there a way to get this kind of output from an existing module? The URL http://localhost/drupal/taxonomy/term/9+22+23 gets me pretty close, but gets me more than one posting from a category (term) since they are ordered by date. Suggestions? -- Chris Johnson

Hello, I have been playing with ecommerce and I have come up with a couple of question 1. I can't seem to figure out how a normal user who has made a purchase can get back to an order to see the status, even to make another payment again if it has been rejected. 2. Is there a way of getting back to the payment page again. If you don't make the payment, the user can't seem to get back to do complete the payment. Thanks. -- Gordon Heydon <gordon(a)heydon.com.au>

Some time ago I announced the module taxonomy_dropmenu. It wasnt' working in IE. Now I'd reworked the module and it is now HTML/CSS for non IE users. In order to make it work under IE, a javascript trick is provided. Please, review if you have time. And if you have suggestions for any of the item in the TODO, please let me know. The most annoying to me now is the fact that one width in the styles rules the width of every menu. Regards maykel -- ,''`. Sorry if this is considered off-topic - but I've been trying to get some Drupal (4.6) work done and have been beating my head against this all day - I'm having a wierd problem. I'm setting up my laptop (winxp home) to do some dev. work - I have previously installed apache 1.x and PHP 4.3.10. I can't get the "memory_limit" ini setting to "take". It is clearly (and I believe correctly) set in my ini file - memory_limit = 8M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (8MB) Which is the default when you set up PHP. When I do a phpinfo() it simply doesn't report anything - doesn't show up. Other variables can be set in that ini file and they do show up. I have tried to manually set it but that doesn't work. I try this: print "here I am: ".ini_get('memory_limit')."</br>"; print "here I am: max size: ".ini_get('post_max_size'); and I can see post_max_size but not memory_limit. I have tried with both the cgi and dll flavors of PHP. I deeply suspect a stupid MS trick. HELP! Needless to say everything is working fine in linux land - I just got done there in 2 minutes what I have spent all day doing so far - but I would like to be able to work on my laptop (no jokes about installing linux on my laptop please - I've had enough today already). I tried to install 4.6.0 on a test server and I get a strange or new error "Unsupported database type" I first did a upgrade and after getting this message I did a clean install and I still getting the same message. Any Ideas? Regards Ron
