flexinode + i18n module

Hi, When I translate all the flexinode fields through localization, it shows up under add->content. For example : Author name shows up under /en/add/node/flexinode-1 and the corresponding spanish translation shows up under /es/add/node/flexinode-1 However, the node display always shows the fields in english..even if it was created through the spanish interface. Has anyone been able to come up with a solution where flexinodes are translated correctly? Thanks, VJ

Porting from Static Menu to Taxonomy Question

I have just spent a week or so evaluating Drupal and find it to be a very mature, very comprehensive CMS. I want to port a static html web site over to Drupal and I'd like to do it in such a way that moving forward I can take advantage of the features that Drupal provides. One of the things I have been struggling with is what to with its current static navigation menu. I started by recreating that menu (list of single hyperlinks) using the core Drupal menu module. That works but I think as the site matures and I attract more viewers, and thereby over time more content, I'd probably want to go with the menu derived from a taxonomy. I tried replicating the menu with the taxonomy_menu module. I defined each category with one of the list menu items from above, defining no terms for now. I did this because over time I expect the taxonomy to fill out and as this happens I could add the appropriate terms as necessary. When I was all done I had my menu re-created but I had no way no associate a particular node with each item. Now I'm stuck. Should I expect this to work, or is the only purpose of a category to provide a link to select that will expand and display its associated, selectable term item? Thanks - Tod

Domain to taxonomy

How can I point site (with separate domain) to specific taxonomy term(s) e.g. http://domain -> <main page> http://domain2 -> http://domain/taxonomy/5+6 This will be two different sites from user point of view, but they will use the same DB ADD: I do not want redirects. Determining the list of unmaintained modules is somewhat difficult. On top of that, a module that has working 4.5 and/or 4.6 versions is not "unmaintained" it's just maintained for a previous version of Drupal. You are right, it should be the latest and be aware that it should be buggy too (as cvs release is not a final release but a developpement going on...) But a CVS Module is not specialy for Drupal CVS.. maybe because it is nolonger maintained (in that case, the CVS is like a snapshot of the lates devel..) I'm sure you'll find there some modules for Drupal 4.5 :> Modules for 4.7 will be labeled so ; just wait then. Notice that many maintenairs didn't convert their code to 4.7 : they are waiting for the 4.7 beta before to start the job (an beta means nothing won't change, only bugs will be corrected.. but it's already the case with RCs) -- [ Drupal support list | http://lists.drupal.org/ ]

Drupal 4.7 modules

Hi, I seem to download a lot of modules marked module-cvs.tar.gz, but when I open them, it is still a module for Drupal 4.6. I think it might be my limited knowledge about these terminologies, so please correct me if I am wrong. isn't CVS supposed to indicate the latest version? Isn't a module that is marked as CVS supposed to work on Drupal CVS and hence also Drupal 4.7 Beta X? I currently find it very hard to find any useful modules for my sites, because of this problem. I recall something like this circulating on the list before, but I can't find that now. I also recall quite a nifty new UI for module downloads (which seemingly didn't work 100% correctly) but I am not sure if it was on the scratch page or the live page, and where to find it now, but that was indeed nice. Can someone shed some light on this for me, please? Regards, Kobus

i18n/localization and email

Hi, Im able to easily translate emails through localization (registration, notify, subscription etc), but what is the logic used by drupal to decide language of the email? It seems like it's based on the language the node was created in but Ive not seen conclusive results. Is it possible to make the email's language same as the user's language ? The one they select in their account settings I mean. -v

subscriptions queries taking a long time

With the devel module installed, I'm seeing database access times of between 600 and 1600 ms for the following query: SELECT td.tid, td.name, n.nid, n.title, s.stype, s.sid FROM ((subscriptions s LEFT JOIN node n ON n.nid = s.sid) LEFT JOIN term_node tn ON tn.nid = s.sid) LEFT JOIN term_data td ON td.tid = tn.tid WHERE n.status = 1 AND s.uid = 1 AND s.stype = 'node' Any suggestions on what I should be looking for to figure out why it's taking so long? Apologies in advance if it's something blindingly obvious. This is on Drupal 4.6.3 with MySQL. Thanks! Crreating Forms

I need to add two simple forms to my drupal site. Should I create a module for this or is there a simplier way? I've put the html on a 'page' node and it views fine but I'm having a problem getting the action page to work.
