Hello there, i am new to drupal... I have defined some menus and submenus but i dont know how to add content to these links Searching the HowTo's is and was off target: i dont know what to search for - hmmm Maybe one can help me TIA Torsten

[drupal-support] Authentication Module for local users

Hi, I've somehow managed to write an authentication module. However, users are required to enter the username as username@server before it gets activated. Would it be possible to direct all logins (with and without the @server part) to this module? The only exception should be the admin account (which I will use for admin purposes). Best regards. Hello everyone, I'm new to PHP and Drupal and I wonder how hard it would be to write a script to authenticate a user using drupal's authentication mechanism. Ideally, I'd like to pass a user name and password to that script and receive a True/False depending on whether or not that user name/password matches the ones of a user registered in my site. The script would be called from either the unix shell or from another application. In addition to that, depending on the complexity, I also would like to have a script to check if a certain user belongs to a specified organic group (og). Any hints on how to implement any of those scripts? Are there examples of scripts like those that I could have a look at? Thanks in advance for your help, Leo

Hi, The messages that are displayed in [div class="messages status"] at the top of the page (such as your configuration changes have been saved) are not being unset. That is, I'll get 4 or 5 bullet points of messages (it remembers the old ones) instead of a blank page. In what I think is a seperate problem, I can't get admin/modules to show up. Whether I try the menu link or a direct url, the page will not show up. It won't even show a black white page, it just refreshes whatever page I'm on at the time. Any help would be appreciated. At Purdue University, we are going to replace our inactive Drupal sites with static HTML mirrors of all public content (to avoid administrating/upgrading them in the future). I've successfully done this with Httrack, but I'm planning on writing up a tutorial for doing this and would like to provide instructions for wget (I'll submit some instructions as a handbook page on drupal.org) The problem I've encountered with wget is that it is not converting the relative style sheet urls' properly. So with Drupal pages such as http://example.com/node/1, wget creates a subfolder node/, but the style sheet remains relative to the base url (note that Htrack does modify the relative url correctly). To get the style sheets to work properly on all new pages with wget, I have succeeded in modifying the theme template to hardcode in the absolute URL for the style sheets (both misc/drupal.css and the theme css). However, I'm wondering whether or not wget can do this correctly with the right config settings from the original theme template with the relative URL's? Any suggestions? As I mentioned, using the Htrack windows client works well enough for me, but I wouldn't mind writing up about wget in the tutorial since it's generally a 'nix server default. I am setting up user profiles for my site. I am adding contact information like address, age, sex and phone numbers. Does anyone have any examples that I can look at to get ideas?
