Note the default extensions list for the upload module. jpg jpeg gif png txt html doc xls pdf ppt pps zip is not included. Check out the settings at admin->settings->upload. This is configurable on a per role basis. It seems that the uploads that aren't being accepted are zip files. I went into admin/settings/upload and added zip as an attachment that was accepted. I also increased the size of allowable file sizes for uploads. So, the general limit is set to 0 for unlimited file size and then the other max file sizes are 100M. Thus it makes no sense that a 4.6M file in zip format cannot be uploaded to the site. Allowing uploads like this allows customers to send various content for a site in a compressed collection of files. So, is the problem the size limit that can be uploaded to the site? or is it something else that I must set? I'd have to agree with Brew. My experience on redirect problems, caused me to write the following function for these kind of redirects. It illustrates exactly what brew was talking about using dirname, etc. Although technically this function should be modified to pull the http or https from the protocol field. <? function redirectFile($file) { header("location:http://" .$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] . dirname($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']) . I have a situation where I need to push visitors back to a welcoming page if they've not visited the site previously. I have implemented it in the drupal index.php page, however it doesn't seem to be reliably working so I wanted to post this for review, comments and suggestions as to the proper way to control this. Perhaps there is even a module that I'm missing that would be better suited so please advise as you see fit: index.php: *** BEGIN PASTE *** <?php //... Problems with Clean URLs

Okay so I didn't have mod_rewrite installed on my Apache box. Thought I was going to need to recompile and therefore it just wasn't worth it. Remembered that I had mod_so install. So I went ahead and installed mod_rewrite. It shows up in phpinfo() now so I assume that the install went okay. Enable cleanURLs in admin->settings. That seems to go okay and now all my links go to nice clean URL's except the URLs actually give me 404 errors. I'm assuming somthing isn't mapping correctly any idea how I can fix this?

Hi, Since E-Commerce is such a big module(s) and has a lot of functionality that really needs a more fluid way of collaborating on ideas and speeding up development. I started discussing this with Dries, but because of time constraints such as Dries getting married, and taking time off to spend time with his new bride this was put into the low priority pile, and we didn't get this completed. So in an interim step, I have created an E-Commerce mailing list from my domain which will allow E-Commerce to move forward hopefully in leaps and bounds. Once Dries gets back from his well deserved break, I will take up the discussion on moving the list to drupal.org where it will gain even more benefit from being under the drupal.org umbrella. in the mean time you can go to http://lists.heydon.com.au/listinfo.cgi/ecommerce-heydon.com.au which will allow you to subscribe to this list, and we can get down the the work of getting the best possible E-Commerce out. Hello, I just begun using Drupal today. I'm having a strange problem. It's easier to show than to explain. Here is my Drupal site: http://drupal.opendocumentfoundation.org/index.php Try to login. After you press "Log in" you get a second pop-up asking for another username and password. You know when you use .htaccess to require a password? That's the one. Thing is, I didn't put this there, I don't know where it came from. It mentions "Trac" and this server does have Trac installed, but I can't see why Trac would be messing with Drupal. It doesn't make sense. I've searched for a .htaccess file that might be affecting this, and I can't find any. This is so weird. Does anyone have any ideas? IMHO, the web server configuration for how to "get the web browser to connect your URL with the drupal executables" is a little bit difficult to get in the docs. The options are numerous based on how much control you have on your web configuration evironment, and what web server you're using. Symbolic links are one way to do this; apache aliases are another; in IIS you set up virtual directories. I like using the symbolic links the best, but others have a different interpretation on this issue. You do have gist of the trade-offs in multi-site configuration. Yes if you just created a directory, you'd have to copy all of the code there and then you'd have two drupal code tree's to maintain, upload modules to etc. Symbolic links, apache aliases, or IIS virtual directories let you use one. The durpal "multi-site" install also lets you use common database elements as well, although I don't do that cause I don't really want to share any of the tables between my sites. I am now curious, why is this required? And what are the possibilities of having such an arrangement? If for example, I created the folder instead of symlinking it, what could be done in such a case? Would I have to set up another drupal installation therein in order to utilize it? I thought that the primary purpose of this was simply to not have to worry about upgrading multiple drupal installs and modifying multiple code bases as required. Multiple Drupal Sites Errors

I'm trying to set up the following scenario: mydomain.com/main is the primary Drupal installation. I am wanting users to be able to access a new Drupal site at: mydomain.com/main/NewSite In order to accomplish this, I have the following already in place (I'm on a linux server with plesk): ~/httpdocs/main/sites/default/settings.php ~/httpdocs/main/sites/mydomain.com.main.NewSite/settings.php I set the files in ~/httpdocs/main/sites/mydomain.com.main.NewSite/ settings.php up to the new database for that site, however each time I go to "www.mydomain.com/main/NewSite" I get the default Drupal site error: "Page not found" I've been pouring over documentation I can find on multiple sites on one Drupal install, but am not having any luck. Could someone please offer some suggestions or help to ascertain what might be going wrong here? Thanks so much. -George

custom form in drupal 4.7

hello. any idea if it's possible to creat a similar page like this with drupal 4.7? http://www.mystop.net/services I am using the form.module to create this page, and that is not availlable in 4.7. I don't know how easier it has become after the revised form API in 4.7 thanks mohammed.
