Turning Off A Page

Is there a way to "turn off" Drupal on an individual page? I'm trying to install amfphp on my site. Part of determining if it's installed properly is whether a certain page appears blank. I can't tell if it's blank because it always displays a Drupal page not found message. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sue

nodereference.module: can a node list nodes that reference it?

The subject's fairly self-explanatory, but I'd like to be able to make a node display contain a list of nodes that reference it via the CCK nodereference.module. Currently it looks like this is just one-way. This is for a contacts database I'm experimenting with in which a contact can be recorded as being on various academic placements. A placement is a CCK node that references both a "placement provider" and a "student" - I'd like to be able to list all the placements when a student's node is displayed. Is this currently possible, or is this feature planned? Tim

CCK: showing field titles on node display

I'm trying out CCK by making a simple contacts directory. I've created the basic fields (such as phone number, address etc.) and that works fine. However, when you view the resulting nodes, the data is just presented inline as a single block of text. I'd like to be able to separate the info out into the appropriate chunks. I also want the "Address", "name" etc. content to be labelled as such when the node is displayed. What's the easiest way to do this? Would it be by editing the theme that I'm using, or is there an easy way of extracting the field label via PHP? Tim

Changing Install Directory; Pre-Move Questions

As I spent a number of months comparing CMS tools, I initially set up my directory for Drupal as a sub-directory. I did this, in fact, with each of the CMS tools we explored. i.e., <root>/dru <root>/pmachine [1] <root>/spip <root>/geeklog Before I go about the process of moving my primary site content from "/dru", up to the site root: 1. What pitfalls might I encounter? 2. What should I be on the look-out for? 3. What databases replaces should I perform? (just URL paths in appropriate table columns?) 4. What am I not asking? I can handle re-directing incoming pre-linked traffic to back up to the root, using Apache's tools to do so, so this doesn't worry me very much. If there are other considerations that you would recommend or caution, please share them with me before I make a mess of things (which might happen anyway. ;) I do have some "path-sensitive" modules installed, such as: Image Assist + FileManager Attach Image Project [* I note that the Project help says that changing the location of directories can cause problems, but I believe I can solve this in the DB itself, if so.] These are not all of the modules I've installed, of course, just the ones that seem very path-centric. I appreciate your time, in advance. -- Gary [1] As a side-note, I'd like to let others know (I read a few online user questions about whether this would work): pMachine blends very nicely with Drupal. This is especially useful if: one has legacy content, one prefers the very clean interface of pMachine entries (I do), one has a large number of images already in well-known directories, (because pM's FileBrowser system is excellent and easy, and works much better than any Drupal module I've found) one has a preference for pMachine's 'bookmarklet' tool Just FYI...it works very well and we will continue to use this combo.

Term/Definition Table Module . . .

I've been searching the module list, but I'm not seeing it. Maybe it doesn't exist, but I thought there was a module to help with the creation of a term/definition table that also did cross-referencing of terms. Is it possible to create an "Add new content in this category" feature?

Question regarding a functionality I've been wanting, but not sure if it's possible. When a user is viewing a taxonomy page for a single term (taxonomy/term/1) it would be nice to have a link that would allow the user to "Add new content in this category". The idea would be that: 1) user is viewing a category/taxonomy page 2) user clicks "Add new content to this category" link 3) the create page (or any node type, although this is probably an important issue) form appears and the category is automatically selected in approporiate taxonomy selection menu or drop down The interaction is sort of similar to what we have in the forums when we click the "Post new forum topic" link, but it would apply to other node types, e.g. pages or blogs. This is a very minor feature that go a long way towards making a better user experience in some instances. I know this might be problematic to implement because of the number situations that might exist, e.g. the issue of Drupal determining what content type create node form the link displays if the taxonomy term applies to multiple node types. Associate 1 Input Filter to 1 node type

Multi Site Hosting Plans

Hi, A general question on multi site hosting plan. I am planning to have a multi site drupal configuration for 4 websites. But when i choose hosting plans, should I go for single site hosting plans or multi-site hosting plans? If I take a single site hosting plan, do they allow drupal multi site configuration? regards, Paul
