url alias not working?

hi i am trying to make this url (which is linked in a lot of places) www.freedom-center.org/radio go to this url on our drupal install www.freedom-center.org/section/radio i tried to do this under set url aliases here: Existing system path: http://freedom-center.org/section/radio Specify the existing path you wish to alias. For example: node/28, forum/1, taxonomy/term/1+2. http://freedom-center.org/radio Specify an alternative path by which this data can be accessed. For example, type "about" when writing an about page. Use a relative path and don't add a trailing slash or the URL alias won't work. but it doesn't seem to work? thanks for help -- will

Calendar view showing updated date, not event start date

Hello, I've got a drupal 5.1 site, and I've created a view to display the calendar. Which it does: http://beta.menashalibrary.org/childrens/events But, it's listing those events by their creation/updated date/time rather than the start and end date/time for the event itself. Any ideas how I can fix this? - jody

1. Drupal 5 doesn't play nice with Firefox's Web developer plugin. The CSS files doesn't appear in the web dev panel when I choose "edit CSS". Does anybody else have this problem? I am running Firefox 1.5+ 2. Whenever I change a menu --whether by adding or disabling a link-- the change is not reflected in the menu, no matter what I do (empty browser and/or DB cache). View : Categories and Subcategories

Hi I read this article :- http://drupal.org/node/60530 and was able to follow it (using CCK and drupal 5.0). However I was unable to understand how to use it to do something like :- I have the categories / Subcategories as :- BOOK - Fiction - Non Fiction - Children - Programming CD - Movie - Educational Now while creating a view , how can I create 2 drop down lists, on one if I select BOOK the second should have the options as Fiction .... and if I select CD in the first drop down box , the second drop down should contain Movie etc ... I am using CCK to create my node types. (Basically I want to select the category from one drop down box and the subcategory from the other drop down list) Thanks and Regards Abhinav Drupal : Level : Novice

view module stop my drupal working

Hi, I have installed view module on my 5.1 drupal, but i made a mistake and turn on the first and last module which deppends on the first one, after that my drupal stop working, I just got ZERO SIZE replies, so i erased the view directory from /var/www/mysite/sites/all/modules/ directory It start working again, anyway i want to have it working, so i think i first need to uninstall it, and install it again. I gess that when i enable one module, somewhere in the files or in the database (i think on the database because i could not found anything in the files settings.php for example) there should be a logic field with 1 if enabled and 0 if disabled, I am sure i have view enabled right but because I erased the directory it is working as soon as i copy it again, all stop working again. Event calendar category view

Hello, I've looked all over online, and I just can't seem to find out how to do this. I know it's got to be easy. I've got a drupal 5.1 site, and I'm trying to create a view that displays only a specific category of events on the calendar. Is this possible? If so, how? - jody

Theming specific node (content) types

Hi This is reference to http://drupal.org/node/17565 I am using a new template file for a new content type I made using CCK. How can I access the individual fields that I created, in the template file ? I tried this :- <?php print serialize($node->field_idnumber)?> (field_idnumber was the field that I added) and the output I got looked something like :- a:1:{i:0;a:2:{s:5:"value";s:6:"123123";s:4:"view";s:6:"123123";}} Now how can extract the data i.e 123123 from this ? The article mentioned above, says that probably a php code is needed for this ? Can't it be accessed in way similar to title i.e $node->title PS : I did tried this :- $node->field_idnumber->value but this doesn't seem to work Thanks and Regards Abhinav Jain

CCK/nodereference/Views - Block of referenced nodes?

Hi, I'm building a site (Drupal5.1) that contains a CCK content type for articles. The article type has a nodereference field attached so that authors can generate a list of related articles ("If you like this article you might also like..." functionality.). I've been able to build a custom function that displays a list of the related nodes at the end of the article by doing: # template.php function display_related_articles($node) { if ($node->field_related_articles['0']['view'] != '') { return _phptemplate_callback('box_related_articles', array ('node' => $node)); } } # box_related_articles.tpl.php <ul> <?php foreach ($node->field_related_articles as $related) { ?> <li><?php print $related['view']; ?></li> <?php } ?> </ul> I'd now like to replicate this same functionality into a sidebar block, but I'm hitting a brick wall somewhere. Using the views module I've generated a custom block using the "Arguments" system to do the following: # Argument Type Node Reference: Related Articles - Display All Values # Argument Code if ($type == 'block' && arg(0) == 'node' && is_numeric(arg(1))) { $currentnode = arg(1); $query = db_query("SELECT field_related_articles_nid FROM content_field_related_articles WHERE nid = %d ORDER BY field_related_articles_nid ASC", $currentnode); $args = array(); while ($result = db_fetch_object($query)) { $args[] = $result->field_related_articles_nid; } } return $args; This works to a certain degree, but it's showing some odd quirks. The test node I'm using references 6 other articles, but the block is displaying 7 entries: 5 of the referenced articles, 1 seemingly random article, and a link back to the article currently being displayed. I have a feeling I'm being dense and missing something supremely simple here, but I can't for the life of me work out what it is. I've poured over the docs on drupal.org and although I've found lots of explanations on how to display reverse references ("List all the nodes that reference this one") I can't seem to find a solution for this, what I originally thought was simple, use case. This site is currently under development so I can't point you towards a URL, but if anyone wants to see an export of the view then I could stick it up on pastebin. Thanks in advance.
