You gave me some doubts, but I tried to build a view, without the me module, and it works fine. I had to set a menu entry as tab, and now I even got the tab on all user profiles. So, like I said in the first mail, put the 'user/%/path', set a menu entry as tab, if you want to tab to visible, and use an argument, and it will work fine. Pierre.

You might have encountered some problems with some custom modules, but out of the box (Drupal + Views), it works perfectly, I did it in some projects. Pierre.

url rewrite force www for multi-sites

I'm hoping to find a solution that hasn't presented itself after tons of searching... I'm running four sites on one Drupal6 codebase. The first site is the main portal site and the other three are subsites. So - the base URL for each site are as follows: http://example.com http://example.com/site1 http://example.com/site2 http://example.com/site3 and the folder structure under /sites is: example.com example.com.site1 example.com.site2 example.com.site3 The sites are all reachable with this current setup, however, I'm experiencing some login issues that I believe are a result of the example.com and www.example.com being regarded as two different sites. I figured that all I needed a simple as modification to the .htaccess in the /drupal directory, however I'm not able to rewrite the URLs successfully for all my sites. By modifying .htaccess to show RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.example.com/$1 [L,R=301] I successfully redirect all of the pages on example.com to www.example.com, however example.com/site1, /site3, /site3 all get rewritten to www.example.com. I've not found a situation documented about this, and I've tried a number of different alternatives that don't seem to work. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Tina

Drupal: MySQL vs. PostgreSQL

I'm not very familiar with the use of PostgreSQL with Drupal, as I tend to use Pressflow with MySQL on most projects. I read about the advantages and disadvantages, but not sure how to compare a clustered DB with PostgreSQL and Pressfow running on Pantheon with MySQL optimized, perhaps on multiple DB servers. It looks like there are various issues with contributed modules & PostgreSQL, and that doesn't sound like much fun to deal with. So now I have a potential client who needs help with PostgreSQL in the mix, and I'm not sure if I should get involved. Here's the client's development/production environment: Debian Lenny (5.0) host environment Debian packaging for deployment Drupal 6 framework PostgreSQL 8.3 database Git source control Apache Solr 1.4 for search and related artist matching Amazon S3 + CloudFront for storage and streaming of videos FFMpeg for encoding of uploaded videos JWPlayer for playback (looking to replace this in a future phase)) Apache and Nginx web servers (although development can be done with just Apache) PHP 5.2 They know what they're doing! And I've been really happy with staging development on WebEnabled, but they don't support PostgreSQL yet. I don't even have PostgreSQL installed on my local development environment! So I'm asking the Drupal community about this one. Perhaps I need to learn more about PostgreSQL, or I just need to stick with what I know best (as an intermediate at MySQL). Deployment of translations from QA to Production?

How would you suggest a good process to test translations on in a QA environment, and then deploy them to a production environment after testing? * Best practices? * Deploy/Services modules? * Node export/import? * Translate interface export/import? * Freeze production, work in QA, then move the DB over to production? * Other? Negative Context Condition

Hello, Is the a way to add a negative context condition? I have a context to display a few block according to node type : x,y,z I'd like to create another context to display blocks a,b on every page that x,y,z aren't displayed on. Any idea how I can do this, my idea was to simply create the same conditions but negative, but I don't see the option. I can create a site wide context for a,b but then it displayays together with the x,y,z blocks. Any ideas? Thanks Idan

user_autocomplete and privacy

I'm writing a module that should hide user existence according to their privacy settings. I've been able to hide names (overriding phptemplate_username) and users profiles (404 with hook_user view). That's far from clean but at least it works. Is D7 any better in this area? But I'm out of reasonably clean hack to hide users existence in user_autocomplete. Everything is guarded by a user_access, 'access user profiles' and I can't see any other way than hacking core. -- Ivan Sergio Borgonovo http://www.webthatworks.it
