Adjust Node Reference Display Link

On a Drupal 6 news site, each article has a CCK field called author which is a node reference. On an article page it says: Author: Fred and then links to my author node, i.e. node/6 or whatever. We now made a very nice View called author/% so author/Fred shows a list of all my articles. I would like that link on the author page to go to my new author/Fred page not my node/6 page. My ideas were: 1. Setup a forward (stupid idea) 2. Parse the content of articles and find that link and change it (not so great) 3. I saw once a module that lets you (I think) embed a view inside of a CCK field. Maybe do that on author/Fred 4. Maybe just make a custom node tpl for authors and embed the view in there. Any better ideas? Thanks!

Might have to try and understand the code and see if I can create a patch for it. Mark.

Showing revision user in a view

When adding fields to a view, is it possible to show which user created the current revision of a node. I thought it would be quite useful to display on a "Recent Updates" view but I can't see how to do it. The information must be there as the revisions tab on each page shows which user made the revision. I've looked in the database and the node_revisions table only has the uid so I guess it would need some sort of join to be done to access the user from the user table. Thanks, Mark.

question about CiviCRM

I've been using CiviCRM for almost a year now with Drupal and I LOVE it! However, I've never been able to upgrade from the 3.1.5 I started out with! Everytime I get some sort of error with the database and I have to go back to the 3.1.5 version. Does anyone use it who can offer some advice on what I do? This last time I got these type errors when I ran the upgrade script: warning: include <snip> sites/default/files/civicrm/templates_c/en_US//%%06/06C/06C5296F%%jquery.fil es.tpl.php) [function.include <http://mana.org/drupaltest2/civicrm/function.include> ]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in <snip> /sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/Smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1263. node-specific menu

Hi guys, is it possible (with drupal 7 or drupal 6) to implement an node-specific menu? the point is: i would like to display an node-specific main-menu which changes according to the pages. Example: Menu 1 shows A/B/C and menu 2 shows ONLY D/E/F. Thank you! Florian

email not working on site

I've just noticed that the email on a client site isn't working. The log says "Error sending e-mail from formal(a)face2interface.com to mlandman(a)face2interface.com : SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host." How do I check this out more? Didn't see anything obvious to look at using Google. A finger pointing me in a good direction would be most appreciated.
