Upgrading template from 5 to 7 problem

I have moved a custom template from a Drupal 5 installation and added it to a bare bones Drupal 7 site. I've run into a few issues, of course, but the most vexing for me right now is the inability to get the main content to show render($page['content']); Doesn't produce any output. Here's the line of code in the template file: <?php print render($page['content']); ?> If I go to the user login page, for example, it doesn't show the form. I can get the tabs to show. Doing a quick top-level dump of $page['content'] produces the following: system_main => Array #sorted => 1 #theme_wrappers => Array #region => content #printed => 1 #children => Any hints greatly appreciated. OG Read Only module to allow post the content with out promoting the member as group admin.

Hi, OG Read Only module presently blocks the content creation in group for its members who are not admins of that group . I need a functionality which gives allow the few users to post the content even though they are not group admins. How I can achieve this ? which functions need to be changed . One more thing How to make this Og Read only Content type settings to come in separate configuration menu rather than in content type creation or group creation page. Suggestions welcome.Thanks In advance.

Secure Pages

I have a drupal7/ubercart3 site. The Securepages module does not work and my preferred uc_ssl does not have a Drupal7 version. For now, I've made the full site secure (https://) via .htaccess. How do I get all page resources (ie: images) to come from 'https://'? Apparently Chrome will not show a "Green padlock" next to the URL unless all page content has the "https' secure url. You will see a https with a red line through it, and an 'x' on the padlock. I have the base_url in my settings.php set to https://mysite.com .. that has not affect. Thanks,

Orienting Users around Groups

Greetings, I'm trying to setup a site where the defining feature for users is groups. It's straightforward to use OG to assign content to groups, but (beyond content access) most user functions still orient around users' roles. Is it possible in a reasonable manner to reduce this focus on the role and assign things like profile visibility and user contacting permissions based on groups? Thoughts? Brian

I have now worked out where my front page comes from, it's generated by the Views module, I couldn't find it originally because Home » Dashboard » Site building » Views was disabled. So the page is basically created by a Filters entry in the View with various Taxonomy entries to enable users to select what they want and a Node to generate the data. The problem I'm seeing is that the Taxonomy filter entry on screen isn't 'folding away' as it should. This has happened since updating Drupal core from 6.16 to 6.22 and updating all the modules to get rid of many security warnings. On the standard D6 admin panel, looking at /admin/content/node I see content arranged in order of being added/modified--the first item I see will be the node most recently added or modified, and so on down the stack. Is there an easy way to view nodes by "date added"? I am trying to get a sense of how much content of each different type has been added to our website over the past year. ari

Rather fundamental question - how to find how site is structured, e.g. where is the home/front page defined?

Well, I have now updated this Drupal 6.16 site to 6.22 and have also updated dozens of modules which were out of date to get rid of all the security warnings. It was fairly straightforward once I realised that, in the main, all that was needed was to download and unpack the relevant module tar file and copy it over the old version. I also read the release notes and did any extra cache clearing etc. mentioned there. So far so good, I have a fairly reasonable idea of how to do things on the support/technical side now. However I'm totally lost as to how to manage/change the content. Well, not entirely true, I can see how to add what Drupal calls nodes. The site has various ways for users to add contents in blogs, organisation profiles, work opportunities, etc. That's fine and I can see how they get added to the relevant parts of the site. The big thing I can't understand though is how the *structure* of the site is organised, i.e. how do I find where the front page is created and how is the hierarchy below there structured? The "Default Front Page" in System Configuration is set to 'front'. Can anyone point me at where I can look and learn how the site is put together? Questions around 6.16 to 6.22 upgrade

I am about to embark on upgrading a Drupal 6.16 site to 6.22. I have only recently taken on the existing (6.16) site and I'm still finding my way around a bit. There are a couple of things that I find a bit worrying:- There's no UPGRADE.txt file in Drupal core, I've unpacked the one in the 6.22 tar archive though so I can work from that. It seems fairly straightforward if a bit complex. When logged in as administrator on the site I can't see the Home » Dashboard » Site building » Modules page, though I can get to it by entering the URL directly into my browser's address bar. Is there some sort of configuration option that would enable/disable this? If not how do I get it back? The UPGRADE.txt file step five says "Disable all custom and contributed modules.", how does one know which modules are custom and contributed? Is there any easy/automated way of remembering which modules are enabled so that one can turn on all the right ones again after the upgrade? Or does one just print out the web page and do it manually? -- Chris Green

I have uploaded an image to view in the teaser just a simple 600 x 100 px image. It seems to not show in the node when uploaded. On my offline site it works fine. But when uploaded to the server it givs me this. Also how do you set the number of teasers you would like to display? Cheers, Kevin

Page with events at different locations

I want to create a content type for events (concerts). An individual concert production can potentially take place in different locations (Friday in San Francisco, Saturday in Berkeley, basically same concert). Is it possible to associate in some way a date with a term reference (which would be the location)? I envision an unlimited datetime entry that associate with the location. I have problems wrapping my head around how to achieve this, or how to solve the issue differently, but still user-friendly. One way I image would be using two content types: The first for the general information for the concert, including a term-reference that is distinct for this production. The second for the datetime - location that also includes a term-reference for this production. The second content type would have a radio-button list for the production. For the first one, I'd somehow need to make sure, that the term-reference is not yet in use, and how would I do that (I am thinking in a database way - first content type has a unique key, that corresponds to the second content type's foreign key). Is there a better - drupal - way? Grateful for any comments, tips or pointers ... Thanks, Ursula (actually, just writing this made the task clearer for me, that's called confessional debugging, I am still interested to hear whether I am missing something, and how to ensure the unique term reference)
