content and menu access

Trying to stop pages and menu links from being displayed to anonymous users modules tried node access and content access and wile node access I can block the page itself I can not block the menu link from being displayed? I have one content type like pages that anonymous users should never see its menu links nore its pages I have another content type that is assigned per user so user joe and mike can see the page, but john and slim can not. Node access handles this ok, it is the part above where I am having problems. Any suggestions? I'd like to have a easy to use ui if I can. Thanks.

FastCGI vs mod_php for Drupal

Hi, Any thoughts on FastCGI being less resource intensive than mod_php? Any reason not to use FastCGI on a server running a moderately large Drupal website with a decent amount of page views? Thanks in advance for any insight. Keith -- Keith Smith

Order of controls in user-login-form

Dear all, Usually in the user-login form, the controls are in thisorder: login input area, password input area, login button, lost passwordlink. On the site I am working on and which uses a sub-theme of Zen, the order is: login input area, password input area, lost password link, login button. It's a bit annoying to have the lost password link before thelogin button and I can' understand why this is so. I thought Zen was theming the user login form but apparently not. Well it does things with it but at the CSS level and that has no impact on the order of the controlsin the HTML page. Any suggestion warmly appreciate. Thanks, Shérab.

d7, passing functions in db_insert()

I know i've done this before, but I can't remember now. Given $id = db_insert('stats_table') ->fields(array( 'created' => 'now()', )) ->execute(); More interested in how to pass functions than in getting it to work. -- thanks -- -Don Pickerel- Fane Software

Image Galleries

It's been a while since I've needed to think about an image gallery, but on a site I am about to inherit, there are many images that probably should be in a hierarchy. When I go to D.O, it almost seems that most gallery modules are not available in 7.x and those that are are minimally supported if at all. Which ones are decent and supported these days?

Social Network Dashboard

I am losing a client to an SEO company that has a built-in dashboard (I haven't seen it yet, but will) for posting to their social networks (Facebook, Yelp, Four-Square, etc ad nauseum) Is there anything similar in Drupal? functionality: Client logs into their own website uses workflow to add content, goes to a dashboard to post to external social networks and then clicks to another page that has analysis of social network activities. *James R Stone* *Drupal site-builder/developer/consultant*Office: 216-635-9247 fndtn357(a)gmail.com <fndtn357(a)gmail.com>

"Noggin" module / different header image for mobile vs. desktop

Hello -- I've searched the usual resources for an answer to this, but haven't found anything satisfactory. We are finishing up our conversion from D6 to D7, and have gone with an AdaptiveTheme core in order to take advantage of the excellent mobile-friendly features. Overall, the site looks good on a small screen, with a search bar in the header and a very nice smartphone menu taking the place of our Superfish desktop menu. See http://50.199.193.172 for a live view. We would however like to swap out the large desktop view header for a small .png logo whenever the site is accessed by smartphone or tablet. We use the 'Noggin' module to put a banner image of the library on the main page, but there seems to be nothing in the AdaptiveTheme or Noggin documentation that talks about changing the header based on device screen width. help locating module if there is one

Hi, I am looking for a way to do the following if I can: Have a way to grant access to a node by showing a user list. If checked the user has access, if not checked then the user will not be able to see the node. I'm trying to go through the module list for drupal 7, but I don't think I'm seeing any way to do this, any thoughts? Thank you
