Detect Mobile devices

I need information on how to detect mobile devices on our desktop site and once detected then display a splash or page or redirect the user to a page The page or splash will have information that will ask the user to either continue to the desktop site or to go to the "APP store" (android, Iphone). I will also set a cookie so the user does not get this page/splas over and over. Now, I managed to add some code on my page.tpl.ph that check the HTTP_USER_AGENT it will set a cookie and then it will redirect them to another page (mobileandoir or mobileiphone) This is working fine but I was wondering if there are site out there done in Drupal that have a similar system set in place. Can anyone provide information about this and how other people have done it.. I am using Drupal 6 Thanks, Rotsen

Hi Folks, Most of the following explanation is for my benefit with the expectation that I will get corrections where I misunderstand, but the real question is just the last line of this message. I have an audio field which plays mp3s just fine. I need to occasionally download them. When I configure a content type, I can select a display field type of "Audio Player" or "Audio Player with Download". I need "Audio Player with Download", but this is a cruel joke! "Left-Click" just gets me "Play"; "Download" requires "Right-Click". "Hacking" would involve: 1. I can re-jigger the whole node in JavaScript. 2. Find the code which renders "Audio Field with Download" in core, and write a module that will intercept that output and modify it to the structure I want before it becomes part of the page "Creating" would involve: 1. Find the code which renders "Audio Field with Download" in core, and copy it as a Custom Formatter for "Audio Field with Download, Really" I don't think either of my "hacking" options are very future-proof, which leaves me with my preference, "creating", but I need to know where the code which renders the display field "Audio Field with Download" lives. Can anybody tell me w here can I find the code that outputs the HTML I see when I define a display field as "Audio File with Download"? Thanks for the help, Chris.

Fielfield alt and title update via VBO

Hi, I have a site with a few hundred nodes each with about 5-10 images, i've updated the image fields to have alt and title tags based on tokens. I'm looking for a way to generate these new title and alt attributes to all images and nodes via vbo. I tried the "save node" action, and even updating a field, but these actions don't create new titles and alt attributes on the images. Editing and saving them one by one does update the fields, but I don't really want to go that route. this is drupal 6... any help would be appreciated. Idan www.pixelwrapped.com

Drupal 7 - OpenLayers Module - Cannot display GetFeartureInfo from WMS

Hello list, I'm using the Openlayers module to visualize some geo data (vector data) that are served by a WMS (Web Mapping Service) from a GeoServer. I've activated all module that the Openlayers module and the WMS module need. After configuring some Openlayers layers and maps and the view I wanted to tune the behaviors of my map by activating the Get Feature Info and the Pop Up For Feature options. But it don't work. My aim is to display the shapefiles feature by clicking on it. The base layers and the WMS layer are displayed quite well but the features of the WMS layers cannot be shown. After a while I recognized that the Pop Up For Feature behavior option don't work for WMS-layer. Is this true or do I just have some misconfigurations? Searching for a solution I read about the opportunity to display the layers features in a block - the GetFeatureInfo Result Block- but I did not find anything about how to configure it. I'm thankful for any hint and help. Cheers Jakob

Don't allow submit based on value in referenced node..

Hi, I have a problem I can't work out how to resolve.. I have a "booking" content type with a reference field to the "customer" content type.. I want to create an "Account Suspended" checkbox field on the customer content type so that if a "customer" tries to save a "booking" and their account is "suspended" it will not save the new "booking".. And possibly show an error message telling them their account is suspended.. I have looked at all the rules options but the new node always saves even if you try and redirect the user "before saving content".. I have also looked at the rules_forms module which doesn't appear to be able to access the fields in the referenced entity.. So I am a little stuck.. Anyone have any suggestions how to do this? Thanks..

Where is session_name stored in database?

For Drupal 7, I need to know where the session name is stored. I.E. the value returned by session_name(), as opposed to the session ID which is returned by $_COOKIE[session_name()] and stored in sessions.sid :) At least I *assume* that the cookie name is stored in the database, but can't find where. thanks -- Tim tim at tee jay forty nine dot com or akwebsoft dot com http://www.akwebsoft.com, http://www.tj49.com
