I have been asked to conduct a feasibility study on the possibility of moving from ColdFusion to Drupal or a PHP application that is inside of Drupal. Some initial thoughts: a.) Migrate the existing ColdFusion Microsoft SQL server database tables to the Drupal MySQL database. Possibly using the Drupal Migrate module for this migration. Can we just migrate all the MS SQL server tables as-is as extra tables within the Drupal database? b.) Is moving the existing .cfm (ColdFusion markup) source code files to Drupal .tpl.php files and replacing the server side tags with PHP equivalent tags feasible? c.) The site has large custom Javscript as well as using frameworks like JQuery (Jquery 1.7x). Some of the Javascript may be kept intact. The Jquery version is similiar to that used by most Drupal 7 sites. d.) The Drupal Form API might be able to handle much of the AJAX activity on the pages. -- John J. Mitchell

as admin cannot insert image into block

I have Drupal 7.28 and a site which uses IMCE and have a block on the front page which consist of just one image, a header image. The site has been up and running for 3 years plus without any issues. The block is configured to the "menu" region and for the front page only. Last Thursday I wanted to change the image, and did what I usually do: simply replace the image with another one, and save. No image showed up! I am the admin and use Full HTML in rich text format. I tried again, thought I had accidentally deleted the image ... tried in every other text format; in the plain and php I can see the code. If I use plain or php the code is then visible on the site ... I have not changed any settings anywhere, but am totally unable to insert an image and have it show up. I tried creating a block thinking the old one might be corrupt ... same thing. I have checked the admin permissions and everything is checked. However, when I go to "admin/people/permissions" and should be able to see the various check marks for the different roles, I have 5 different roles, the page is black for any check marks - nothing ... Block but no content on Home Page

I have a block that is the only item that shows in the content area of the home page and this was working correctly. It is now showing page not found but I dont remember what I did to get this to go away. Any one have any thoughts on what to do to display just a block without page not found for the home page. Drupal Admin page doesn't tell me to make an update?!?

Hi, On Status Report page (/admin/report/status/) I have 2 yellow messages for the modules they should be updated (Radioactivity, Tokens) 1 red message (Varnish connection broken - witch is ok since the website is localhost) and the res is, of course, light blue. What is confusing me is the Drupal core info that shows the version 7.20 and doesn’t say anything to make an update?!?!?!? Why is that?

Two Sites - Different Current Core Versions

[ Ubuntu 12.04.4 ] I received an email about updating core on one of my sites. That was done, showing that Drupal core was updated from 7.27 --> 7.28. I then went to another of my sites and (doing the usual) ran Drush (drush update). It show the version at *7.27* with no need to update! Using "admin/reports/updates", however, shows that 7.28 *is* available. I flushed all caches on the second site with no difference. Drush still isn't showing an available 7.28 update. D6 - content styling gone?!?!?

This is D6 website http://kesarandcosolicitors.co.uk/node/3 As you can see the content of the page lost all html tags (I don’t know how to say it…). when I click on edit bold, italic, <h> tags are still there but it’s not rendered?!?!? Input format is Full HTML. Also, all images on the home page (except slider) disappeared and I when I added <img> on Input formats (/admin/settings/filter) under formatting guidelines. What’s going on? Is there any chance hosting company did some updates and screwed up the site?

Media module deprecated?

First, I posted 2 emails and didn’t get any respond. My concern here is ONLY if the emails reached out. So, please, if you get this email, please just respond I know it’s out there. Thanks. Second, I got a newsletter from OSTraining with a tutorial about Media module. Looks nice. I just tried to install the module and got on content type > (any) > Manage Fields page, under field type, found Multimedia asset drop down option but it also said “deprecated”?!? On the Media module page (https://drupal.org/project/media) I don’t see anything “suspicious”. So, why deprecated and what would be the better option? I believe CKFinder fits the best to CKEditor but you have to pay. Thanks

Is Authorize.Net module (AIM) PCI Compliant?

The website I took over uses Drupal Commerce and Authorize.Net module (AIM Credit Card). And there is PCI Compliance question. On previous job we were using first AIM (Advanced Integration Method). We would collect CC data into session and send it to Authorize.Net and then kill the session. No CC data stored on the server. But they said it’s not PCI Comp so we had to move to SIM (Server Integration Method) were the user would finish the checkout process on Authorize.Net server. So, I’m a little bit concerned about AIM on Drupal website. Any ideas, suggestions, comments… Anything that could lead me to the conclusion that our Drupal website is safe? Thanks

Hi, Need recommendations for eCommerce solution. These are requirements: - Authorize.Net - PayPal - Integration with (any) event (what brings to “What an event module is recommended to integrate with previously recommended eCommerce solution”? :-) ) - Recurring payments - Easy to modify/customize Top solution I found are Drupal Commerce and Ubercart. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
