Limiting file uploads on a given submit

I have a file field that has unlimited cardinality (and needs to). But I need to only allow one upload per submission. Does anyone know how to do this?

Weird Browser Problem

Sunday night I was able to log in to my local version of a web site with Chrome, IE, FF, and Safari. Then I had to reboot. Now I cannot get to that site with Chrome, IE, or Safari. I use Wampserver. I can get to other local sites just fine, and I can access this one site with FF with no trouble. The error I'm getting is 403. Any ideas?

Yes, it appears instead of the front page. Apache doesn't show anything. Hi, Thank you so much for all your feedback. I am planning on running 4 small Drupal websites on a Dell i5 that has 4 cores / 4 threads / 8G RAM. This is for learning mostly. The server is in my home office. I recently used memcached and xcache to take a Drupal site for one minute page loads to 1 second page loads on a 2 core / 4G RAM VPS. Very impressive. I was wondering if I can use these same techniques on a box that has 4 Drupal virtual hosts on it. Any thoughts? Will I be caching one site to only have to start over when another site gets some traffic? Thanks -- Keith Smith

Hostgator as a hosting site

We were recommended Hostgator by for our drupal built site and have deployed the live site there. Our site is a Drupal 7 site with Ubercart for ecommerce. It's kept up to date and has all the latest drupal updates, and all modules are also kept up to date. We delete all products once a week and upload a new cvs file. We average about 6500 products (we deal in rare books so each product/book is unique). We import via a Feeds importer. We have done this for about 2 years now and it's worked fine with no hiccups. However, last Thursday when accessing the site via the backend, it seemed to run very slow; just going from one admin page to another took sometimes more than 10 seconds! The delete of the products was also exceedingly slow but worked. I was also able to upload the cvs file but I was unable to import the products! The whole web browser window literally jumped up and down and flickered before it even reached 2%! I deleted and tried several times but no go. I then went into the Cpanel at Hostgator after having looked through the site via Transmit ftp and not been able to find anything untoward. The Cpanel had a ""Site Status" link and I clicked that. I saw a warning button at the top that said the a script of mine was hogging CPU and I could click another button to release the hold on the site. I did click that and tried again to upload but same thing happened. When I had been able to click through so I could see the Site Status, there were two red warnings and one yellow; one red warning was for my "home" folder and said 91%, the other red was 93% and the yellow about 81%-all for home folders. I also saw a log of "current sites requests" and it showed the last 1,000 - well over 975 of those said "72.46.139.154 randallhouserarebooks.com /image_captcha?sid=866690&ts=1420751330" which suggested that something was really wrong to me - but Hostgator, when I did speak to them, refused to even listed or look at that screen. I called Hostgator and they were horrible. First they assumed that I know nothing, second they immediately said they don't support Drupal issues, and refused to do anything about it. I got in touch with our Drupal expert who has helped build and maintain the site and asked for help. I had to go on a trip and have been gone since Friday. I just learned that our site is off line with "Service Unavailable. Server currently undergoing maintenance. Webmaster: please contact support." when you go to our URL <http://www.randallhouserarebooks.com" and I have no message(s) from Hostgator. I also had an email from our Drupal expert saying "I logged in into your hostgator cpanel and also contacted hostgator support chat. but their answer was not satisfactory. I am unable to access your site." If someone could give me some clue as to what might be going on, I wold appreciate it, and also feedback on Hostgator. I find it unconscionable that a commercial hosting company takes my business website offline! If I am wrong I also want to know. FastCGI vs mod_php for Drupal

Hi, Any thoughts on FastCGI being less resource intensive than mod_php? Any reason not to use FastCGI on a server running a moderately large Drupal website with a decent amount of page views? Thanks in advance for any insight. Keith -- Keith Smith

Related to views pager

Hello Everyone, I am using Drupal 7.34 and Views 7.x-3.8 I have created a view, where I ask views to fetch all results, by selecting "Display all items" radio button, in "Pager -> Use Pager" section. I now, alter the query using hook_views_query_alter, and If a condition is met, I add a condition, and if a condition is not met, I ask the view to fetch only 1 result. The else case is causing issues for me. My code in else case is this -> "$view->set_items_per_page(1);" I have tried adding $view->init_pager(); as well, but no good. I am not able to get views fetch only 1 result, if the custom condition in hook_views_query_alter is not met. On Debugging, I saw that what views does is defines the "type" of pager. If "type" is "none", the pager is never called, which is the case, when I select the option as "Display all items" mentioned above. If "type" is "some", the pager starts working, as pager is set to some, and value items_per_page shows its effect. I believe, If I can find a way to change the "type" property of pager form "none" to "some", I can crack this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Order of controls in user-login-form

Dear all, Usually in the user-login form, the controls are in thisorder: login input area, password input area, login button, lost passwordlink. On the site I am working on and which uses a sub-theme of Zen, the order is: login input area, password input area, lost password link, login button. It's a bit annoying to have the lost password link before thelogin button and I can' understand why this is so. I thought Zen was theming the user login form but apparently not. Well it does things with it but at the CSS level and that has no impact on the order of the controlsin the HTML page. Any suggestion warmly appreciate. Thanks, Shérab.

D7 Issue with Views, custom table and sort field

I have a custom table defined in Drupal 7 using hook_views_api() and hook_views_data(). The table shows up in the available sources as it should, and its fields show up within the view as they should. If I simply select the field I want, the preview shows a list of values as it should. However, if I select that same field to be used as the sort, although no error is given, there is no preview data. Here is the base information and the field definition.
