D6 - UG gift certificate - user role

hello, I'm usign UG gift certificate with Drupal 6. I'd like to assign the role "gift-user" to the user who recieves a gift. Can you help me? ADM

Rl try to check the mistake you might have left some letters or something make a tharow check then proceed you will do it. theme preprocessing - path issue

I am trying to add an additional logo to my D7 site. I added to the template.php the following: function mytheme_preprocess_page(&$variables, $hook) { $theme_path = drupal_get_path('theme', variable_get('theme_default', NULL)); $variables['second_logo'] = $base_path . '/' . $theme_path . '/images/second_logo.png'; } and on page.tpl.php, I use the variable $second_logo, which correctly goes to: http://example.com/drupal_site/sites/all/themes/mytheme/images/second_logo.… This works fine for the home page: http://example.com/*drupal_site* /sites/all/themes/mytheme/images/second_logo.png However, when I am looking at a content page: http://example.com/drupal_site/content/whateverpage The url for the second logo gets constructed as: http://example.com/drupal_site/*content* /sites/all/themes/mytheme/images/second_logo.png So, I add the base path to template.php: $base_path = drupal_get_path('theme', variable_get('base_path', NULL)); $theme_path = drupal_get_path('theme', variable_get('theme_default', NULL)); $variables['second_logo'] = $base_path . Huge problem

Hi all I'm using Drupal 7 and changed from Mayo which worked well but did not allow for a large header image, to Danland theme which does use a large header image system. The site looks great in firefox, chrome, chromium, epiphany, apple (whatever) on Ubuntu and Fedora Problem is the sidebars disappear in windows xp explorer and It's got me stumped. What should I be looking for to get the sidebars displaying. thanks Roger

Problems w/ Zen and Nice Menus

[ Ubuntu; Drupal 7 ] Are there any conflicts between Zen 7.x-5.x (the "new and improved" version of Zen) and Nice Menus 7.x-2.1? I am having problems with Nice Menus (placed in the Navigation region). In particular, (1) the three top-level menu items are in two rows as shown here: Also, (2) the sub-menus aren't appearing when I hover or mouse down on the items with an "expansion arrow". The "arrows" suggest that, in fact, the sub-menus are in some sense recognized ... I know I'm leaving out a lot of detail, but I wanted to first make a quick check here (I've already looked online for solutions) in case there are any known incompatibility issues. Note that I have another site working fine with Nice Menus using the 7.x-3.x version of Zen. I've tried my best to compare the two sites to detect any different configurations &etc , but all I have been able to find are the two different versions of Zen. If no one here knows anything, I'll go ahead and send something to the Zen "issues queue. Hello All, For a certain project i'm displaying a list of books through views (7.x-3.4). Next to the main view i'm displaying a block with a limited list of books by the same author (via reference, relationship and contextual links). All is fine except now when it comes to providing a proper "more link" with that block. This more link should have either the form of "books/-author-" of "-author-/books". By setting link display i seem to be limited to set the more link to: - "books/-author:nid-/-book:nid"(automatically generated) when i choose to link to a corresponding page display (with path "books/%") - a custom URL,* but the only tokens available are the nid's or the titles of either the current book or the corresponding author* This last option is actually pretty close to what i want except that the title is not in the form of a clean url as it should be. I have the feeling i am missing something essential here as this should be quite a common thing to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best, Toon

Requests to create new account

I am getting a number of requests to create a new account on a site not yet ready. The requests are obviously false and seem to be testing the system. I delete the emails on reception. It seems that the attacks area automated, is there any way to filter and reject these automatically. Thanks Roger

temporarily block login or content editing

I want to dump my production database to my development environment; make some big changes; and then import it back to production. Is there a module that will allow you to temporarily block content editing or login? I don't want to put the site in maintenance mode because I want it available to anonymous users. I just don't want my users logging in and adding/editing content while I'm working on the DB. Drupal site breaks with MySQL collation-server option

Hi everyone. This is doesn't have to be significative, but I've noticed that my Drupal 7.15 test site reset every connection attempt if I put this directive in my.cnf (MySQL config file): collation-server=utf8_spanish_ci Reverting the change of course brings back Drupal to its normal behavior, but I wonder the reason of that situation. Any ideas?? This is solely for learning purposes not for production settings ;) Many thanks in advance!
