<HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Lane Memorial Library, Hampton, NH</TITLE> </head> Usually you must add a doctype definition for IE to not go into quirks mode of some kind, also, all html-tags in modern variants should be lowercase as far as I know, - at least for xhtml. If all that you want is just a custom front html page, there should be no need to make it so complicated, (in drupal 7) you can create a custom front page by choosing a custom node as the frontpage. On there you can disable all blocks and make everything else that you do not want invisible by just adding a line of css to your template: body.front div.region-page-top, body.front div.EVERYTHING_THAT_YOU_DO_NOT_WANT_TO_SEE {display: none;} Also if you have standard columns on the left and right, you might just change their color by creating a subtheme of your theme (look at this site: http://drupal.org/node/225125) and just changing the color for the front page columns: body.front div.YOUR-RIGHT_AND_LEFT_COLUMNS {background-color:#b3e0b8; border:2px solid #dce7d5;} You can also use a tool like webdeveloper toolbar for firefox or something alike to check for problems with your code. Since you seem to not so sure in dealing with CSS and HTML this might be a quick-n-dirty way to make the frontpage look clean (also have a look at: http://tips.webdesign10.com/drupal/how-make-a-custom-front-page-drupal-316.…) Be sure to not make it look like this: http://www.pombredens.com/ or this: http://www.bellads.info/

Seting up local site and getting fatal error

After setting up a local site I am trying to port my site from a host. Howto I removed og, workbench, etc

Drupal 7.14. I am happy to report that I believe I may have found a way to get rid of OG and workbench totally for learning purposes in prep for a fresh install. Both leave database tables and data and if reinstalled simply find the old unwanted data. Here's what I did... - First did a backup of the site in cPanel compress and the database in ssh mysqldump. - Checked then cleared Reports ->Recent Log Messages. - Switched off the modules and dependencies in Admin -> Modules. - Then, and this is very important but not mentioned anywhere that I could find, I ran UNINSTALL - the button, top right of the Modules view screen, select modules to remove, this advises that all data will be lost. I think it also cleans out the unwanted tables........But it does not uninstall/remove modules? - Check Recent Log Messages just in case. - Next I ran update.php, then Clear All Caches. - In cPanel I deleted the modules from sites/all/modules. - I ran drush cc #1 to flush caches which don't normally flush with the Drupal Clear Caches. - I then checked mysql -uadminuser -pmypassword, use mydatabase; show tables; to check that og and workbench no longer have tables or data. - Went back to the site as admin, refreshed and all is good, no sign of og or workbench. - Did a fresh drupal.tar.gz and mysqldump .sql of the cleaned database. All Good so far, I hope.... Some may say there is no need to go this extent including flushing caches over and again, but I have found it to be helpful after reading some of the comments and issues. I'm chuffed. Hope this helps someone. Roger

D7: hook_field_extra_fields() + field_attach_form()

Hi, I exposed a field in hook_field_extra_fields(): $form_elements['item_description'] = array( 'label' => t('Item Description'), 'description' => t('Item Description (an extra form field)'), 'weight' => -5, ); $extra_fields['entity_example_basic']['first_example_bundle']['form'] = $form_elements; return $extra_fields; Now I thought, by calling field_attach_form('entity_example_basic', $entity, $form, $form_state); in a form callback, it will be attached to $form automatically. But it doesn't. Is there a way to change that? Or do I have to add the form field manually in any case? Hi All , I have D7 7.14 and views-7.x-3.3 installed. Trying to learn the how the existing glossary view works. I have opened the attachment now and cant seem to understand how the letters of the alphabet are formed. Thanks Richard

Hi Folks -- I'm hoping someone familiar with the 'Front Page' Drupal module can offer a suggestion. We are using Front Page to provide a custom formatted splash page for our library users. The problem is that code designed to display text inside a green column next to an iframe with Google Calendar centered between an left and right column of standard themed blocks is rendered differently on IE (all versions) than Firefox / Safari / Chrome. I'm using the following initial code: |<HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Lane Memorial Library, Hampton, NH</TITLE> </head> <STYLE type="text/css"> div#c1 { float:left; width:260px; height:800px; background-color:#b3e0b8; border:2px solid #dce7d5; color:black; padding:10px; } div#c2 { float:right; } | In Firefox / Safari / Chrome text following an initial <div id="c1"> is properly contained and displayed in a green box, and the Google Calendar is just to the right according to the div#c2 "float:right" column designation. In IE, the green background is missing, the text fills all available space, and the calendar winds up below the text. (I have followed the first column code with <div style="clear:both;">) This is an experimental site hosted on an in-house server, but I would be happy to supply an 'outside' link for anyone kind enough to help me find a solution. Rearranging items on a node

Currently I have a page with an image (a CCK field), a 1 to 2 paragraph bio and finally an embedded YouTube video (also a CCK field) The client would like the image and the video next to each other at the top of the page. Ubercart payment mode Role-wise

Hello, I have installed Drupal with ubercat module. I have enabled payments method as well. Now I want to enable the *Cash On Delivery* option to a particular user role. Is there any way to do this type of modification of payments with ubercart? Thanks in advance ! -- Nikhil Kala
