I have posted it in og issues Thank you. As somebody else wrote before, the appropriate place for your post is the issue queue for OG, because it's read by the developers and by other people who might run into the same problem.

Drupal 7 OG problem

Further to my previous email. I found that the My Groups >> Groups audience data is stored in table og. use data7; select * from og; displays the data which can only be altered not removed. +-----+------+-------------+-------------------------------------+-------+------------+ | gid | etid | entity_type | label | state | created | +-----+------+-------------+--------------------------------------+-------+-----------+ | 6 | 10 | node | This is event #1 | 1 | 1335931712 There is no content of this name. And the <Groups audience> field does not dislpay in <label> aplhanumeric order and cannot be altered, it seems fixed to gid order. This is very awkward Can someone help me please, I need to have the ability to create and delete audience members at will. TIA Roger

Drupal 7 OG problem

I have OG set up and had a couple of trial groups while learning. I now have a usable list of groups in Groups Audience from which to choose but cannot find a way to get rid of the trial group names. They are not in the database that I can find, I have created views of content, all the og lists, groups, etc and the names do not display yet they remain. I have manually searched the database og tables, nothing there. --I have refreshed and used different browsers, cleared the cache 7 times, Switched Group Audience off and on. --I have deleted them from Content, I have deleted the content types and reconstructed them but the list remains in tact. --I can add new groups to the Group Audience and change the names, these display as entered but I cannot remove any. --Note: only the Organic Groups module is turned on, og-ui, og register, og views integration, og access control were on and used to add fields but are now off -- All remain active in Content types and the fields are available in <Manage Display>. - og does not display in < Configuration> og modules are off but still active, this is puzzling! I'm thinking they must be stored in a javascript file somewhere in the file system. I really need help on this one as I am very nervous about having it go live with faulty selections. This had got to be a major bug but I have no idea how to tell anyone who can fix it. The only way I have found to get rid is to delete the database and reinstall -- not an option on the site now under construction. Can someone tell me where to look to fix the problem or how to clean out the Groups Audience. thanks in advance Roger

Drupal 7/Zen Theme Question

In Drupal 7, I have created a subtheme from Zen which I am - whenever I have some spare time - slowly developing into the custom theme for one of my websites. Obviously this is a learning experience although I do have a little experience from Drupal 6 several years back. I have installed Firebug under Firefox and am using it to look at various properties of one of the pages I am theming. My footer message shows an id of "block-block-1" - which I have then used to assign the appropriate CSS property values. I would, however, like to understand where/how that id is generated and did a grep of the entire website looking for that particular id. I only found it in the Zen theme and in my derived subtheme, not in any particular Drupal file. Could someone who knows Drupal 7 better tell me where that particular id is generated for the footer message? Thanks.

You can start at lynda.com. $25 for a single month, but they have the Drupal basics, and themeing basics, on Drupal 6 & 7. The problem seems to have something to do with settings for so called magic quotes. I have been advised and I quote: *This is a recent Hostmonster and Bluehost server issue* *In php.ini change this* *; Magic quotes for incoming GET/POST/Cookie data. magic_quotes_gpc = Off* But now I have another problem. As soon as I try to save a block I get a message similar to the following regardless of browser used. The wording in Chrome is: * The changes you made will be lost when you leave this page. Help required for PHP script

Hello I am pretty new to Drupal. I wanted to develop a site pretty quick for porting my existing site to Drupal. What I am trying to do is - create pages corresponding my old pages and provide them through menu. So user will be able to use the functionality by navigating through Primary links or menu. My back end scripts are PHP script ( basically from my forms I wanted to access the forms php scripts in the back end !! ). I was wondering where can I put my old scripts in the drupal directory so that the pages works as such ... Is there any settings required for this ? Thanks GK

Showing login block on access denied

Dear all, I'd like to customize the message shown on somme pages when the access is denied. I am aware of the possibility to specify a node to use as access denied page, but I believe it is not enough to achieve what I'm looking for. For some pages, I'd like to be able to show a specific message, plus the login block. Moreover, once the use has logged in, if she has the permissions, I'd like the ressource she tried to obtained be delivered without any further action. Any advice warmly appreciated. Menus beak when editing view

Hi! I have a problem with a D6 site and Views 3. When saving any view (visiting the edit page and pressing Save or crating a new one is enough) two menus on the site disappear. But they only disappear on the front page. The front page is using a custom tpl.php file with additional regions. But the menues that disappear are only in the header and footer region wich are the same as on every other page. I haven't found anything to bring the menus back, except for replacing the menu database tables with those from a backup. So there must be something changed in the menues tables when saving a view (other blocks in these regions still work). This is happening since I changed the menu entry of a view that was the sites front page a while back. It was replaced with the new front page, now they decided that the old front page should be accessible through a menu item in an other menu. Since I updated the menu entry of this view, the view's page isn't accessible anyore (Page not found) and the menus on the new front page disappear. Unfortunately there were other things changed at the same time so that we don't want to restore a complete backup (which still wouldn't let do what we want to do, making the old front page's view accessible again). I hope I could explain the problem understandable. Does anyone have an idea what could have caused this and how to fix it? I'd appreciate any hint.
