ZipArchive is not working

Hi all, I am using drupal 7 and I want extract the zip file and save the extracted folder into files directory. I am taking zip file from one of my content type. For this I am trying to use ZipArchive class. $zip = new ZipArchive; $unzip = $zip->open($filename); ZipArchive Object ( [status] => 0 [statusSys] => 0 [numFiles] => 0 [filename] => [comment] => ) After printing $zip i get the empty array as above. Do any one know why this is not working in my case? Or any one know other way to extract file and save it to folder. Thanks in advance. -- Swatee Amit Karpe

Side effects/behaviour of overlay-child.js (with Selenium IDE)

Hi, I'm writing a test script in Selenium IDE 2.5.0 (Firefox 26) for an out-of-the-box Drupal 7.24 (on Fedora 20). The script logs in as an admin. Then it clicks at 'People' tab. The tab (a page, actually) loads up well ( http://localhost/drupal7/?q=admin%2Fpeople&); however, Selenium IDE can't detect it as loaded (and Selenium times out). If I disable usage of 'overlay-child.js' in overlay_library() in /usr/share/drupal7/modules/overlay/overlay.module, then the problem disappears. The page loads up and gets detected as such, too. I'm new to Drupal. Could someone explain in Javascript/HTML terms (not in advanced JQuery) what overlay-child.js does, and how that could cause a problem, please? I'm asking you first rather than Selenium people, because Selenium is quite application-neutral and such problem are rarely caused on its side. It's quite difficult to reproduce this without installing Drupal. I've looked at https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/modules!overlay!overlay.api.php/function/… at source of overlay.module, but it's not obvious to me. It seems to me that clicking at 'People' tab doesn't need overlays. Disparition of administration menu

Dear all, Our drupal site is installed on a remote server. This afternoon i installed few Drupal modules (internationalization and variables). After activation of those modules, i noticed that my admin menu (content/structure/configuration/users,....) had disapeared. I don't know why. According to you, is there a way to recover the admin menu? I'm very annoyed by this problem. In advance ,thank you very much for your help. Drupal and versioning

I've been asked to look into version control with Drupal 7 and later 8. Has this been done successfully? How do devs handle version control?, what are the better tools? How does it work if one dev working on some part commits and it breaks something someone else is working on? Is there any documentation or video tuts I can investigate please. Many thanks Roger

Ajax requests terminating abnormally during image upload

Just posted the following on the Forum - Support - Post Installation Board. Thought it may be of interest to contributors here. I have been getting Ajax requests terminating abnormally at odd intervals, and it has taken me quite a few days to tie it down. Mod_fcgid.c is central to the Fast CGI interface used for uploading images etc. The Default setting in fcgid.conf is for a maximum transfer of 131,072 - bits, bytes whatever. Thus MaxRequestLen = 131072. This needs to be significantly increased to handle image uploads in Drupal. A figure quoted elsewhere is MaxRequestLen = 15728640. Setting max file size to 4MB is all very well, but if the fcgid can only transfer 256KB without returning an error to the Ajax handler then an Ajax alert will be generated. Currently running 7.26 so very relevant. Alison

Advice on structure

Hi All, Perhaps someone has a good idea on the best way to structure this functionality.. I have an established site that takes bookings for activities.. The content type has a date/time field, a reference field to the customer and various other administrative fields including a reference to the price list used for that "booking".. The activities can include things like lunch or other options all listed on the price list.. So we now want functionality that will a) show the costing for the activity (time based per hour) and b) the costs for optional extras along with c) the total cost.. I have attempted to use plain decimal fields for each of the costs and then populate the values using Rules but the logic is proving too complex for rules.. I suppose I could use PHP code in the rules to handle the logic.. The second option I have thought of is to use Computed Fields and some PHP code to calculate the individual values and then perhaps rules to total them up after the node is saved.. Is there any other way to do it that doesn't require expert coding skills since I am a builder rather than a developer?? Thanks for any thoughts..

Drupal 6 - File upload not wotking when lightbox2 and jquery_upload enabled together.

Hi All, I have drupal 6 project, in which I have enabled jquery update module and lightbox2 module. If I disabled jquery update module then only my file upload option works but lightbox2 slideshow is not working. I want to work below both the functionality together: 1. file upload - [using core js] 2. lightbox2 slideshow - [using upadated js] I tried https://drupal.org/node/1058168 also for hook_js_alter with js_alter module for drupal 6 but its wont works for me.
