advanced forum: topics/posts not counted correctly...

Hi, I have found this strange thing: for *some* users, *some* forum topics/posts are not counted correctly. More exactly, number of topics/posts is 2x higher than it should be. For example, the main forum page (www.mysite/forum) which lists all containers and forums says www.mysite/forum/4 has 2 topics and 2 posts. When I enter that page www.mysite/forum/4 I see there is only 1 topic with 1 post. This happens for every forum, where user ever wrote at least one topic or comment. For forums where he never wrote any topic/comment, numbers are shown correctly. What could be reason for this strange behaviour? I am researching a band website right now and I can't seem to find any mature modules or solutions. Has anyone on the list come across anything I haven't? I've looked into audio, jquery media etc. Seem like I could get it to work but not very elegantly and the jquery media seems like overkill. I am thinking about rolling my own solution. Trouble getting dRokStories to work

Folks: I'm trying to get dRokStories to work. The images show up (sort of), but the story summaries don't. I followed the instructions in the tutorial, but.. no dice. D6 form submit (not), cache, double redirect back and reload from cache?

Writing a D6 module. I'm trying to build a lengthy form, where at some point, towards the bottom of the form, it would be nice to (1) optionally hit an 'incomplete'/branch submit handler, (2) cache the interim curent form state, (3) double redirect to a new form (create submit ) etc (4) bounce back to the original (with second redirect), (5) reload interim state from the cache, (6) amend with new details gleaned from the intermediate/branch form, (7) finally proceed to the "complete" form submit handler of original form Currently I can double redirect to a second form, but on bounce back, all the original details are lost, which is really unintuitive to the user, who thinks they've already filled out that part. I guess I need to do something like this: function mymodule_interim_submit($form, &$form_state) { $form_build_id = $form_state['values]['form_build_id']; unset($form_state['submitted']); unset($form_state['storage']); // $form_state['rebuild'] = FALSE; $form_state['saved']= $form_state['values]; $form_state['redirect'] = array ( // double redirect 'mymodule/intermediate_form', 'mymodule/this_form/' . $form_build_id ); } But I don't know if thats sufficient to preserve the interim state of the form, or will it still be deleted from the cache after the interim_submit completes, or ...(barking up wrong tree)? thanks Doug

Using Views to find "content created by user from same town as viewing user"

I've actually managed to do half of this already. I have a content type that I use as a profile which included the taxonomy vocabulary "location". Each user chooses a country. I now have two views called "local content" and "local users". The first shows all content across the site that also shares the same taxonomy term and the second view shows all other users who share that same taxonomy term. Both use default arguments injected into the view by php code (an sql query) Now I'd like to create a final view where a user who has filled out a profile can see content created by other users who share the same taxonomy term - a sort of hybrid of the two I already have. I can't see how I could use arguments for this one...it seems more likely I'll have to play around with filters, but how can I use php/sql in filters? Has anyone else managed to do this type of thing with Views? Neil

Help with payment solution development(Call back url)

I am developing(rather adapting uc_echecknet) for a local payment solution. The payment solution provider posts the results back to my shopping cart to a callback url. I am able to post data to the provider...but I am not sure which url to give the provider. Is there a stardard one or do i need to create one with the module? Any direction on how to do this? Thanks

I agree with Chris's answer that you need to use a sub-theme. That is definitely the real solution. I also stick with Zen most of the time. It has a 3-column fixed or fluid layout, and takes care of most issues you would run into. I had assumed that you were a newer Drupal user, and figuring out a theme can be daunting. If you're up for it though, that's what you should do. >The solution to the problem of updates is to make a sub theme of some >other one.
