How to log (and display) user activity ?

Hi all, I need a module that permit me to log and view (in a block) all user activity. I know that there is the activity module, but for example it does not store when user see a node and I need it. Any help is welcome. slight problem with encoding

I have the following php snippet giving me a list of taxonomy terms for a certain vocab and certain content type. <?php $vid = 4; $items = array(); $type = manager; $terms = taxonomy_get_tree($vid); foreach ( $terms as $term ) { $count = db_result(db_query("SELECT COUNT(term_node.nid) FROM {term_node} JOIN {node} ON node.nid = term_node.nid WHERE node.type = '%s' AND tid = %d", $type, $term->tid)); $items[] = l($term->name, "personnel-search?type=$term->tid") . " ($count)"; } if ( count($items) ) { print theme('item_list', $items);} ?> the problem is in the bolded line, specifically the question mark and equal sign. I get a taxonomy list like this: retail (3) accounts (2) IT (1) when I hover over these, the links look perfect down in the status bar, but when I click on them, they come out in the URL bar as such: ...personnel-search%3Ftype%3D25 and thus give me a 404. Is there an easy way of encoding it right? thanks Neil

When are Caches Cleared?

Running cron apparently does not clear the cache tables: http://drupal.org/node/315303 Is there any time period when caches are automatically rebuilt? I googled and can't find an answer to this seemingly-simple question. Thanks.

how to preserve current checkbox values if validation fails

Hi, In a custom nodetype, I have a fieldset $form['keywords'] with stuff filled by ajax calls, e.g. $form['keywords'][$vid][$tid]['#type'] = 'checkbox'; $form['keywords'][$vid][$tid]['#value'] = $tid; $form['keywords'][$vid][$tid]['#name'] = 'taxonomy[' .$vid .'][' .$tid .']'; All works quite fine, but, if validation fails (title not set for example), my own form_alter, validate or submit function aren't called. If the user $form['taxonomy'] chexboxes are correctly set after reloading the form with the error displayed, it's not the case with my $form['keywords'] (I guess it's because values of my $form['keywords'] are in $form_state['values']['taxonomy']). So I tried to do this (set default_value depending on $_POST values) in my after_build function, but all the changes done in it aren't displayed (I dump the form so I'm sure changes are done in $form in this function). function my_after_build_callback(&$form, &$form_state) { // check if it's necessary to do something and what // ... $form['keywords'][$vid][$tid]['#value'] = $toset; $form['keywords'][$vid][$tid]['#default_value'] = $toset; $form_state['values']['taxonomy'][$vid][$tid] = $toset; // ... // drupal_set_message(dump(etc. => changes OK) return $form; } But then drupal_render seems just ignoring my changes, just lik if it took the previous cache version :-/ Any clues ? -- Daniel

Email notification on new user registration

Hello, I want send email notification to site administrator, when a new user registers on the Drupal site. Is action and triggers are sufficient or I need to use Rules module? Secondly how I can send the username of the new registered user and site name in the email? I have tried *!username *and* %username *but it is not showing username of the newly registered user. Using a different node template for a view page.

Hello, I am fairly new to drupal. Here is an overview for what i am trying to accomplish. I have a Node Type Doctors. Using CCK for additionnal fields. I have a node-user.tpl.php witch is used to fomat my node-user. I want to have a page /Category/ that will list all my doctors. I am using the view module to get the data i need. I want to use row style node to format my nodes. But i do not want to use the same formating as the node-user.tpl.php. I cannot find how to accomplish this. Is there a way to have 2 Template files for nodes. Luc

gamabhana गमभन not working in Views/ cck after ajax operation

Hi, I am using Gamabhana module in drupal 6. Its working perfect normally. But when i submit somthing through ajax(in views) or or use ajax operations in cck(like "add another item"in case of unlimited values) the marathi/hindi typing functionality does not work for the fields in the same form. -- Regards Sushil Hanwate.
