Thank you, this fixed it; although I don't know how my field knows this new input filter exists, since there was no change to the content-type's available output options...? It's livable, but now I see filtered HTML in the admin menu [and only in the 'permissions' window'... any idea why this would be? Kind, Sebastian. Hello everyone, Learning Drupal as I go with a project. It's been a very tough learning curve, but I am getting close to understanding some of the main principles. Currently I have a number of things I am trying to resolve, one of them is this, I have a CCK/text module installed and being used by a content-type, with fckeditor installed. I'd like the text field to output in HTML, but right now it converts the HTML char into escape-char [so that the HTML is shown on the screen]. I can't seem to find where I turn this off...? So that it renders the text-field as HTML. Under field the text field's properties [under content-type->edit->display->fields->manage] I only see: * Plain text * Filtered text If I select Filtered text, I get an error on the content-creation page for the content type in question. If I select plain text, it converts all of the html to its HTML-safe escape characters... If I click 'display fields' sub tab in the content-type's sub edit pages, I see in the drop down: 'default', 'plain text' and 'hidden'. default and plain result in no chance of the output. Curious to understand what might be intercepting the Drupal URL such that it will not accept the /admin or /user URL and instead complains that Page not found while within Drupal. Also, that where I expect to see "?q" I instead see "?e" I presume this is from a Drupal module for redirection. Unfortunately I am helping a group reclaim their website that someone else built for them for which they are not familiar with the modules in use and at this time and the old group is not around anymore. In essence, they cannot access the Admin page. I was able to force the proper Admin pswd and Role priveleges for them at the database level for their userid though. The specific scenario is: 1) Go to a URL domain/edits <= not sure what this is but it brings up the Login Block in the center of the page 2) See the Login Block in the middle of the page and enter your userid and pswd and hit submit 3) Be redirected to an error page Other scenario 1) Use the domain/admin or domain/user/1 2) Receive page not found while withing Drupal These scenarios are within Drupal's control throughout though. Not sure what is missing, thanks. TIA!

Overriding page.tpl.php for node type...

This should be a simple question and answer... I know that a basic premise of Drupals theme hierarchy should be that if I want a page for a specific node I make a file page-[type].tpl.php. I have done this and I still get a "Page not found" issue. Creating a node-[type].tpl.php works for overriding the node template for the specific node type. Does anyone have any suggestions for what might be missing from the out of the box Drupal solution to get this working? I've tried adding the following function to my template.php which I found on a forum post previously but with no success: function _phptemplate_variables($hook, $vars) { if ($hook == 'page' && isset($vars['node'])) { $vars['template_files'][] = 'page-'.str_replace('_', '-', $vars['node']->type); } return $vars; }

site configuration menu problem

my site is http://theological.asia/ i installed the module *dfgallery but *latter i did not liked it so i removed it following the normal procedure, modules>uncheck> etc and then i erased the directory dfgallery from the sites/all/modules. in modules it is ok, does not show up. BUT IN THE SITE CONFIGURATION MENU , STILL I SEE THE DFGALLERY MENU , when i press does not show anything. i reinstalled it but using devel>reinstall modules, it worked but then the problem remains in uninstalling. i did devel>menu rebuild , the same result, the entry dfgallery remains in site configuration menu. i try to erase in the database but there is no entry, no table under this name. i tried to erase by devel>variables, but no dfgallery variable. i did empty cash , same result cron runs normally , every 6 hours. i have installed the module boost , works fine. please help me , thanks * *

how to create a static link on a Views list?

Hello, I have a block on the front page of a website which is populated by a list created by Views. Each node of the list is composed by several fields create in CCK. I would like to have at the bottom of each node a link to the node page. I know that I could, using Views, link one of those fields to the node page but none of them is really convenient for that purpose. So, I just would like to have a static piece of text wrapped by an <a> tag with its href attribute pointing to the node... The problem is that it seems impossible to theme the block using a variable like $node_url, which was my original idea... It just doesn't work. Could anyone point me the right direction on this one? Views Path Not Set

I am creating a view that represents the title and summary of 4 other pages (very simple and straight forward). However I can't seem to "publish" this 'page' to a browseable page. I think the problem is that when I use the preview button the gray box at the bottom says "Path: This display has no path", but I did set a path under "Page Settings". cacherouter file engine + views + og

I ran into the trouble that after a certain point I had enough modules to make admin/build/modules completely inaccessible under D6. I found this issue pretty well documented, and followed the best advice I could find; which was to install CacheRouter. I did this, and set it to use the file engine. Immediately, all my og-related views were gone. I've tried this on a fresh install, as well. I got the same results. I tried uninstalling both views and og, and still there are no og views, nor are any of the handlers for og available. Changing the cache engine back to 'db' makes those views available again. I need to do one of the following, but don't really know how: 1. Limit file cache to the tables affecting admin/build/modules 2. Set views / og (which is causing the problem?) to use db engine while everything else uses file 3. Fix views / og to use file cache properly. So which is causing the problem? My guess is views, but how do I confirm this? And once I've confirmed it, what do I do to fix it? Seems like this would be a documented problem, but initial googling turns up nada.

Override Form API Theme Functions

In a Drupal 6 site, I want to override theme_select but my mymodule_select is never called. I tried instead making mymodule_form_element because theme_select anyway calls that for its output, but that custom function is also never called. The reason, BTW, that I want to do this is to be able to apply a class to some <option> tags. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks.
