Custom User Login and Error Messages

I have a Drupal 5 site with a custom login form, using function phptemplate_user_login and user_login.tpl.php. It works fine, but there are two issues. First is that if a user logins on the home page he ends up at site.com/front. This is technically correct as front is the front page. This is how drupal.org works--login on the home page and you end at up http://drupal.org/node . We would like to change this, however, to end up at site.com. I tried: $form['#action'] = base_path(); in both the tpl file and the template.php file but it didn't help. This is not a major issue, but it would be nice. The other one is quite perplexing and is serious. If a user attempts to login from /user and fails then the expected message shows up. If he does the same from the front page, then no message shows up. Both pages use page.tpl.php and the code there is trivial: <?php print $messages ?> yet it fails on the home page. Any ideas why that might be? This site was built by someone else, and I looked through the template.php file but I don't see anything which should be killing the message. Thanks.

$cookie_domain not working

I'm using saltwebsites.de to provide the german version of saltwebsites.com. I set $cookie_domain in my settings.php file so that I can preserve logins across domains but it's not working - saltwebsites.de doesn't recognise that I'm logged in on saltwebsites.com. Additionally checking my browser cookies shows that I'm still getting cookies from saltwebsites.de. It seems to be rudely disobeying the setting. Anyone have any idea why that might be? (I only have sites/default/settings.php - no sites set up other than "default"). Fletch

Changing from CSS linking to CSS importing

Hi! I need to change the default output from the $styles variable so stylesheets get imported rather than linked to. I mean, changing from this model: <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/book/book.css?E" /> <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="/modules/node/node.css?n" /> to this model: <style type="text/css"> @import url(/modules/book/book.css?E); @import url(/modules/node/node.css?n); </style> Which would be the best approach to get this done? Ajax Tabs in Drupal 6

I have a custom module which I must upgrade from D5 to D6. In D5 I used the tabs module (part of the jstools module) and code like: $form['example1']['tab2'] = array( '#type' => 'tabpage', '#title' => t('Audio'), '#url' => base_path().'ajax/nodelist/audio', '#target' => 'media_tab', ); and it magically makes this tab link load the content via Ajax. OK, someone else wrote this code, but anyhow it works. I tried to do the same thing with the D6 tabs module (now not part of jstools) but no Ajax happens. :( There is also the magictabs module, but AFAICT that module creates all the content for all the nodes when the page is called, as opposed to what I want, which is to only generate the content for each node when it's requested, via a callback. I could write some jQuery code to do this myself I suppose, but I was wondering if there's a module that does this or if I the tabs module can do this? Thanks

Help with deleting all users with a specific role

Hi ive been migrating a customer from phpbb2 to D6. Was sposed to go live on sunday... Ive had numerous issues (mainly due to poor sql performance on ec2 instances!) and the rest is due to be finished tonight starting 10pm uk time....one problem is that the customer has been using the test site to create nodes, while i stupidly had test forum data on there. I have managed to delete all the test forum data, but im left with 1700 users who need to be readded from the most recent cut of the phpbb database. Anyways, longer story shorter - does anyone know the SQL i can use to delete all authetnicated users, all their post settings (e.g. user_titles_posts) and related tables etc? recovering from private mode download

Hi i ve changed the download mode from private to public and, as supposed to be, i experience some weirdness on my site s images For example the avatar on forum sometime will disappear and the RSS feed image has disappeared. Is there a common way to get back to normality? Simone -- .wmv , .wma , .pps along with all proprietary Windows formats won t be accepted and/or viewed....

I have a view on a node type "A" that displays node type "B" that reference the specific type A node. For example, visiting a Node A node might show 3 or 4 B type nodes in a list/view. What is the best way to add blanks to the end of my view where the user could type in information that would create a type B node with the nodereference to that node A. Trying to Understand How Data in the DB is Exposed to Search

Gang, Trying to understand how search works, both Google and Solr. So lets say I have a node/1234. There are no links to it on example.com. However, links to it will dynamically show up in a view if the right choices are made by a user via exposed filters. My guess is this won't be exposed to Google but would be exposed to Solr. Strange Database Error

Hello, Whenever I visit a page on my Drupal 5 website I get the following warning: user warning: Duplicate entry '2196624' for key 1 query: INSERT INTO accesslog (title, path, url, hostname, uid, sid, timer, timestamp) values('What are the Ingots?', 'node/1', '', '78.50.210.53', 0, 'ffdknj3d71h0p3ss7d5lb8ng66', 472, 1236783811 So I go to the 'accesslog' table. I can see that key 1 refers to the 'aid' field. I don't see anything unusual in this field. The value 2196624 is not at all present, so how can it be "duplicate"? I don't know what to try. Any ideas?
