Dave, Thanks very much for the info! It seems that it doesn't work correct in IE, only in Opera (didn't test FireFox), which means the code is correct, but IE's bugs prevent it from working. Is there any difference you know about between the ways these two browsers handle these settings? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated... It's true that auto-password population is controlled by the browser, but its also true, (at least when I downloaded drupal) that the default cookie settings would leave a persistant drupal session cookie after you closed your browser. So when you opened the browser from the same workstation and went to the same drupal site you would still be logged in unless you had explicitly logged out before leaving. Automatic user login

Hi, Is there a way to disable automatic user login (in other words, user logs in, exits site without logging out, and open site again, and is automatically logged in) and rather /prefill/ the username and password box with the values used to recognize the person logged in? Is this stored in a cookie or something? Has anyone done this before? Thanks in advance, Kobus

So the recommendation is related to your browser settings, but the automatically log in part? There used to be a feature in Drupal that had a checkbox stating "Remember me" which is now not there anymore. I numbered your questions for easier referencing. 1 and 2. Change the defaults assocaited with each content type how you want them. The "administer node" access privilege controlls whether users can chage this. Configure the content types at: administer->content then click on configure tab, then click on content types sub-tab. 3. This is done in administer->themes then click on the configure tab. Front page configuration

Hi all, I just recently switched from Joomla to Drupal, and my first impression is quite good (and I hope this won't change) although I have to admit, that I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the possible modules and code snippets that are available. Right now I'm looking for a way to: - Display only "pages" on the index webpage (and not blogs or forum topics), i.e. only administrators should have the possibility to promote nodes to the front page - Give all registered users the possibility to submit content, but before it is published, it should be approved by a moderator. - I would like to have the nodes on the front page displayed without the photo of the author (as on www.drupal.org) Can you tell me what code snippets/modules I have to install for this or how I can change the configuration in that sense? E-Comm Module Problems

At one point I thought I remember seeing mailing list for modules but now I can't seem to find it. If I'm posting to the wrong list please kindly point me in the right direct. I seem to be having two problems with the e-com module (from 4.6 from CVS) one Emails aren't being sent out when and order is taken, yet I'm pretty sure I have that option set. Two Orders aren't being sent to authorize.net, even though I have the transaction Id and securety Codes correct. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong will be helpful.

Multi-Languages Site

I have a Drupal site http://www.mishkah.org/blog and I want to make the followings: 1) Be able to post english and arabic blogs/stories/pages. This I can do as Drupal supports UTF-8 2) Be able to make english posts appear from Left-To-Right while arabic posts appear from Right-To-Left. For this I found few options. a) using bidi.theme and bidi.module (which is a filter module) b) using i18n module, which needs patching the core. c) encoding the post in html tags. d) using input module to do that. So far, I found that Htmlarea, Tinymce, FCKeditor and Xinha all do this. I am currently using Tinymce. What I really want to do is this: when a visitor enters the site, I want him to be able to display only the english posts or arabic posts or both -or both, all the posts-. I also want him to be able to change the language of the navigation menu and other blocks if they have an alternative language. These are the options I thought of so far: 1) I can make two site http://www.ar.mishkah.org/blog and http://www.en.mishkah.org/blog or make http://www.mishkah.org/blog/ar and http://www.mishkah.org/blog/en point to different two sites, each with a different menu and posts and blocks. but this means 2 databases or at lease two different tables, I am not sure how it works. 2) maybe I can add a taxonomy verb as language/arabic and language/english. and if there is a way to make that appear changed from a clickable url, then a user can click to show posts in english only or arabic only. but then I still have the problem of the site interface, I am not sure if an anonymous visitor can change that from a clickable url. 3) I am not really sure what the i18n module can help with in this regard. Please advice.

Note the default extensions list for the upload module. jpg jpeg gif png txt html doc xls pdf ppt pps zip is not included. Check out the settings at admin->settings->upload. This is configurable on a per role basis. I also increased the size of allowable file sizes for uploads. So, the general limit is set to 0 for unlimited file size and then the other max file sizes are 100M. Thus it makes no sense that a 4.6M file in zip format cannot be uploaded to the site. Allowing uploads like this allows customers to send various content for a site in a compressed collection of files. So, is the problem the size limit that can be uploaded to the site? or is it something else that I must set?
