[drupal-support] Drupal 4.6.3 released (security alert)

The Drupal project has released version 4.6.3 of its open-source content management platform. Drupal 4.6.3 is a maintenance release that fixes problems reported using the bug tracking system. Drupal 4.6.3 also fixes a NEW SECURITY VULNERABILITY which was discovered in the third-party XML-RPC library Drupal uses. An attacker could execute arbitrary PHP code on a target site. Upgrading your existing Drupal sites is highly recommended. As the same bugs are also present in the Drupal 4.5 series, Drupal 4.5.5 is released as well. [drupal-support] Drupal 4.7 installation

Hi, I tried to make screenshots with Drupal 4.7 and CivicSpace theme this weekend (for the docs team), but I ended up making one screenshot only. Drupal 4.6.3 works 100% on my local host, but 4.7 gives me gibberish (as shown in the image). It might very well be a configuration issue, but I am not sure whether I need to change something, and if so, what? Drupal 4.6.3 works flawlessly. I am using Apache 1.3.x (I think 1.3.26?) I am using MySQL 4.1 I am using PHP 4.3.6 Any ideas, please? Regards, Kobus

[drupal-support] taxonomy_access and filestore2

Hi, I'm having a few problems with taxonomy access + drupal 4.6 (the taxonomy.patch is applied) There are a couple of vocabularies on the site. Only one of them is used for allowing access, essentially providing useful permission templates. The oddity is that in the filestore2 case View is allowed only if there is a term allowing the view in every associated vocabulary. That is contarary to the normal logic in drupal. I'll be going through the code, but it would be helpful if there is a solution or explanation. It will save time. Thanks Vlado

[drupal-support] To INNODB or not to INNODB

Hi, I am in the process of setting up a web site for a client, which has ecommerce and a few other modules. Now my hosting company has just given me the option of using INNODB for the MySQL backend. I know that this speeds you up in some areas, and adds better data integrity. Should I use it, or should I stick with the MyISAM databases, esp. since this is a E-Commerce site. Thanks, Gordon.
