THANK YOU to everyone who answered!! Eljay, I knew I had done something on setting the php version, so I re-read about that and looked in my .htaccess file where you can force a certain version, and there, in the .htaccess, was a limitation on the php memory limit of 32M!!!!! So, after changing that to 128M, it's working!!!!! Tina

The version of your PHP might also influence the performance. My CiviCRM with D6 'broke' when I changed to PHP 5.3. After returning to the previous version all 'errors' and WSOD were gone.
