blogapi is the api interface used to allow blogging clients like w.blogger to post from a desktop system. Setting it to the movealble type blog tells the desktop client program what commands it can expect to use and how to communicate with the Drupal site.
See: http://drupal.org/node/29084 for how to control what get's posted automatically to your front page.

I'm afraid to try it out until I know a bit more about it for fear of damaging my existing site. Two questions: 1. If I set it up to use a Movable Type blog, can the blog be set up to appear on the front page of my site or is it standalone? 2. Does the Movable Type blog use the same mysql database as my Drupal site or does it need its own database? Can anyone help? TIA Sue
