So I guess that the "create temporary table" MySQL permission, is something to deal with after the core install and during setup when the search module is added? Sorry, to be lame, Newbie here.
Yes, you can add it later. You will only need it if you intend to use search.module (which you should, because it is great). Don't forget to set up the cronjob so your site gets indexed.
