Thanks.
Actually I want to make my personal website. I want to use Linux hosting.
That is why I want to first try local hosting on my fedora laptop. And then migrate to web hosting of my website. I don't want to set up using non Linux applications. Windows I don't want too. On 04-Jul-2011 12:39 AM, "Dan Horning" dan.horning@planetnoc.com wrote:
Chetan,
I think you're right on one hand here - the instructions are setup mostly for users that have installed web applications before - and from your confusion i can tell you have not, would it be helpful to direct you to say a tool like Acquia http://network.acquia.com/downloads or say the Microsoft web platform http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx first instead of you having downloaded the usual install?
I do have to add that though Drupal can be quite simple - it can also be complicated in other areas... what was your experience like with this?

Then tell me which document should i follow properly. In INSTALL.txt also it's not written to move in /var/www/html, it says to move it to path for installation. I think I'm not following correct stuff.
