Yes, but would like something easier and also allow other rolls to see the download counts

Could you use the Apache access.log to track it?

Received a private email suggesting the download counter module again. I had problems last time cause people were getting access denied error when trying to download the file and I was allowing anonymous access and I could not get around this error. So uninstalled it.
I'm willing to try this module once drupal 7.20 comes out as the required patch this module needs in core I believe is committed. At any rate has anyone encountered the above problem and if so how did you
fix it?
Thank you

Hi, is there a good stats module yet for drupal 7? Other then download counter and the public counter module for download counting as my files are not private and the public file counter has such a long url I did not care for it. What I would like is to keep track of weekly, monthly and yearly download stats.
Any suggestions or modules I can look in to?
Oh and I am not saying the above modules are not good, just they do not do quite what I want to do or they have side effects I don't care for. There good just not quite right for me I think. Thank you
