Hi
I am new to drupal. We installed Drupal 6. I created a authenticated user, when it login, I can not see user name and logout link. If I login as a admin user, I can see the user name and logout link.
I'm likely just about as new :-). When you create an authenticated user, that use only has the permissions granted to that role by the admin. Go to administer, the look for something like "roles" or "user permissions" (I am using 5.0, may not be the same). The Admin can control what parts of the site are visible to the various roles (such as authenticated user). The default is to not give much authority to a role. Hope this helps.
