You can do this by editing the node.tpl.php file in your theme (assuming you are using a phpTemplate-powered theme, which is the default for Drupal 4.7).

Look at the views module. You can create custom displays of content.

Unfortunately there is no room for a text meant for publishing in the term page, only a description. Can this be made to show up on the term page?
The views module provides for html text you put above and below the display. Or you can look at the taxonomy context module.
