Yet in the page I quote she says there is a settings tab in D7. Confusion. I will get back to it and try to recreate what you advise Earnie. Maybe with a new install as I already have a main menu link called CONTACT. Maybe that is difficultizing (!) it.

The settings page was removed for the core contact form. The only other item in 6.x was the ability to add text. That was removed in D7 in favor of create a block with the text you want to display on the page. It is a good option. The other fields work like the example given.
You can edit each subject to deliver to a specific address if you want to departmentalize it. I set up one subject titled "Choose a subject" that delivers to noreply@example.com and made it the default.

Thanks. I am looking for the settings tab described on this page. If you look at the comments several people ask where the settings link is. I thought you guys might have had experience with the module and have been able to answer. I have looked at the webform but I just want a simple
form
like here: http://www.jeneration.com/contact
Thanks for your help as usual nevertheless.

Hi Anthony,
I'm not sure how you plan on "using" the core contact form, but from experience I greatly prefer the "webform" module since it lets you add fields and all sorts of email options. It may be worth checking out if haven't.
Thanks, Patrick

Of course I did. How else could I have set up a category?

Dear All, I enabled the core contact module in D7 but can not find anyway to configure the form. I don't even see it. According to this page http://drupal.org/node/124129#comment-6417354 after I set up some cagtegories I need to find the settings tab but I don't. I have rebooted , restarted the localhost etc etc but still no luck. What am I
missing?
On that page did you see "TIP: The modules admin page often includes
a
"Configure" link for modules."?
