Shai, thanks for your suggestion. Sign-it looks like the one I was looking for.
However, I'm having two issues:
* Signatures are not getting collected * No target addresses can be entered in the signit form
Can you help with these?
Thanks again -- Albert

Albert,
How about the Sign-it module? http://drupal.org/project/signit
You may also be able to do something with webforms, depending on your needs: http://drupal.org/project/webform
Patching is great for testing, a stage prior to a fix getting "committed" into the current development version and then the next official release.
In your case, if someone patched the file for you and then emailed it to you and you installed it, you will be all alone in supporting it. Which is even worse than trying to get action moving on a moribund project.
Let us know what works.

Hi
I need to setup an urgent petition in my Drupal 5.x community site, but I see the petition module is only available for Drupal 4.7 at:
http://drupal.org/project/petition
I have also noticed there is some kind of 5.x patch at:
However, I'm not familiar with patching modules at all, so I would ask someone knowledgeable to help me with this. I posted a support request some time ago at http://drupal.org/node/181275, but I didn't get any replies.
If the above is not possible, can somebody suggest some quick and dirty alternative to petition using other modules?
Thanks in advance
