Seems to work like a charm. The only problem I had was that the link above didn't provide (or I didn't find) the instructions about base theme = ...
in the info file. However, that was covered in http://drupal.org/node/225125 which Nancy provided. So my most humble thanks to Daniel and Nancy. cheers
