It's perfect... except that the children are also showing in the primary navigation bar when you click on the parent. Is it a menu module override or a theme function override?
FYI I'm using Drupal 7.12 and the Headliner theme which is a subtheme of the Adaptivetheme.
Maybe related to http://drupal.org/node/914382 or an issue for your Headliner theme.
