I had to change the name of Book to Document for a very large document at one site. The database name stays as Book but the user sees your chosen name for most of the edits. I am not sure about the scalability so I mentioned it. Another person had used the Tabs Module to create Next and Previous tabs for assigning to particular documents in nodes.
