I think that is my issue. I'm currently theming locally using Acquia, and am not sure what to put in there.
Thanks ever so much for your help/input

What do you have set as "Default front page?" This should be a URL, not a file name.

Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Yes I did, a few times. I'm now getting a page not found message along with the background. Sorry to say, but I'm new and confused and not sure what to do. Is it my Default front page setting?
Thanks

Any time you add a new template in your theme directory you need to
clear
the Drupal cache. Did you do this?

Vers. 7.0 Theme: Genesis
Hello all,
I've created my page-front.tpl.php page to allow me to style
differently
from the the site. Unfortunately it is not showing up. I've gone to: Home » Administration » Configuration » System and attempted to use the Default front page with no success. I'm using a local test platform, so have entered: http://sitename:8082/ but don't know what to add after that.
I've researched it on this site, but seem to only get answers for
drupal
5.0...... What am I missing or what have I done wrong.
Any help and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
