Bittersweet news indeed, but for us themers, this will certainly help out, no longer do we need Mac IE specific hacks, this browser has been phased out and as word spreads and people adopt Safari, our CSS should start to become a little bit cleaner, and a little bit easier to maintain and write.

Just some forward thinking for anyone working on new themes (myself included).

Not really;

No-longer-supprted does not mean no-longer used (unfortunately).

And don't forget that a lot of Mac(hardware) cannot run anything else then ie5! These people have no choice but to continue on that broken browser.
