Right, I did contribute to this recipe by extending OG and writing some 
glue code to integrate with Sympa.

Kieran has already contracted a friend of mine who happens to be very 
experienced with MTAs and myself to find a solution that comes close to 
what Ber was describing. It will not require a mailing list manager but 
will solely depend on Drupal and a few extra scripts. This solution will 
also not be for everybody as it will require some control over the server.

I'd imagine that CSL won't turn down monetary offers for co-funding this 
development.
