[consulting] and they call it drupalcamp

I have some conference room space in Manhattan I get for free through some
club memberships. I was planning to offer this for use around the PDF. I
have not actually been there before, but understand it can accommodate large
groups, has projectors, microphones, etc.
As for where to do something in the meantime, everyone come down to Las
Vegas and let's do this right. Ample conference facilities are located
throughout the city, airfare and lodging are cheaper here than anywhere else
in the United States, there are several large LUGs who can feed people to
the event, there is plenty of entertainment in the off hours and very few
people will pass on a trip down here even if it is in their interests to
stay home. Everything is open all day and all night, meaning people can
break off into side groups at their leisure without getting jacked up by the
draconian business norms of other localities. I have contacts at multiple
hotels who can get us deals on lodging, conference rooms, catering,
entertainment, and transportation.
