With every release, we've been making Drupal easier to use, easier to  
install, and easier to upgrade.  Sure it can be made a lot easier,  
but it takes quite a bit of work.

In any event, developers will continue to use CVS and patch.  If you  
know what you are doing, it is the best tool for the job.
