[documentation] snippets book

I think this is a wonderful idea. ++++1 from me!

I always find the snippets to be hard to find, and under sometimes 
counterintuitive names.

Other code forge items could be module hacks that are not committed to 
the module itself, but might come in handy for some. This could also end 
up being a DIY learning area, where people are encouraged to "get under 
the hood" and really try some custom things.
