The search on drupal.org <http://drupal.org> seems to be very basic, always seems to be an OR search. wonder if there is a way to do advanced search. Thanks Hari

Howto remove registered user

Hi, I am looking for the way to remove registered user from Drupal (either by himself or by admin). Is there any support for this? When the user can be simply removed from database (like: only applied and was not accepted by admin - never logged on). Thank you for any help. Milan

admin only fields?

Is there a way to make certain fields in a node (like 'promote to front page') or an user profile 'admin only' ? This should be true even if the node is created by a regular user, an admin goes in and promotes it to front page later.. Thanks, V

Type php Date Thursday, November 17, 2005 - 18:03 User drupal Location /drupal-4.6.3//?q=admin/themes/settings Message mkdir(files): Permission denied in /home/webserver/html/drupal-4.6.3/includes/file.inc on line 86. Severity error Any idea how can I fix this error?

Cron problem after first member was signed up

Hi I have only just joined this list and hope that I can find more support here than seems to be available through the forums at drupal.org. I installed Drupal (latest version) a few days ago and all went smoothly. The system looks and feels excellent and extremely flexible. My problem started when the I signed up a test registration. As soon as I had done that I ran into a persistent error message in watchdog, each time the cron is run. The error message is.. Location = cron.php Error = Duplicate entry '' for key 2 query: INSERT INTO users (created, changed, uid) VALUES ('1131884754', '1131884754', '65') in /mounted-storage/home2/*********/******/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 66. Line 66 of database.mysql.inc simply tells the program to write an error report, so no assistance there. Removing the member had no effect, and signing other members up does not make it any worse. It simply persists in reporting this same error with each cron run. I noticed one other report of an identical problem on the drupal forum, but that post was lost in the middle of another discussion and was never responded to. Although the problem does not appear to interfere with the running of other functions in any way, I would like to know what may be causing it, and repair it anyway. Hope someone can help. Try to put the line below: ErrorDocument 403 /errors/error403.php in your .htaccess file where /errors/ - path to "error" directory. and error403.php is your file with explanation. Hope this helps. Could be a version problem - did you download the version of Paypal module which corresponds to Drupal 4.6.3? Not being familiar with how to configure my htaccess file, can anyone tell me, simply, how I can allow general access to a directory I have set up myself, which has nothing to do with my Drupal installation, but which is currently giving a '403' error when access is attempted. Best, Tim

Would recommend temporarily setting your php.ini to show errors and warnings to the screens to determine if there is an error being thrown before enough of the drupal logging api gets started, and try and hunt the error that way. Also make sure the instance is set to log the errors to the screen. After doing this, make sure to do a view page source to see if a php error isn't being thrown in the html header. This is a wild shot, but I would also check to make sure that you can't navigate to the page dircectly (not using clean urls, but index.php?q=admin/modules. This would potentially eliminate a mod rewrite rule overriding your page load. Hi, I've run into a puzzling behaviour on two separate Drupal installation hosted on virtual servers by the same company. One is a 4.4 installation hosting a single domain; the second is 4.6 and hosts several domains. For some reason, both installations suddenly no longer display their modules page, although the sites are functioning normally in all other respects. I went over http://drupal.org/node/31819 (My admin > modules page is blank).
