[drupal-support] Installation Fatal Error

I¹ve spent quite a bit of time working on this one...it¹s probably a simple fix, but I could sure use some help. My environment: Php 4.4 Windows Server 2003 IIS 6.0 MySQL 4.0.24 Drupal 4.6.2 Hosting: www.webhost4life.com Settings: I have checked and double checked the appropriate php.ini settings. Since I¹m on IIS, .htaccess doesn¹t apply. I have checked and confirmed the database is setup and connected correctly through the settings.php file. I have loaded the database.mysql tables At installation, when I point my browser to the url where drupal is installed and set up, I get the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_fetch_object() in c:\...\includes\bootstrap.inc on line 199 I believe the function is defined within the database, which would suggest there is an error in connection, but when I check connection (and had my hosting company check the connection) everything checks out. I¹ve run many checks and re-installs, tried different versions of drupal, and tweaked some code. I¹m not a php master, but I can find my way around ok. Anyone have any suggestions. It¹s been a couple days worth of trouble shooting and my brain is fried! -David

I'm running the latest STABLE version of Drupal, as well as the 4.6.x modules. I recently installed Drupal and immediately got stuck on the instructions regarding base_url. I don't know what "point your browser" at a web page means, and I'm not sure what page I'm supposed to point it at. My Drupal installation is at C:\drupal, so I assume I'm supposed to point my browser to C:\drupal\index.php or C:\drupal\default\index.php (after creating a page named index.php and dropping it into the default folder. But my new website is tentatively titled GeoZoo2, so I renamed the folder "default" to "geozoo2." But let's go back to square one. I'd like someone to tell me how to do it correctly. 1) If you were going to create a website from scratch whose home page will preview at http://geozoo2/, where would you place that website physically? Do I need to rename default to "geozoo2," or is C:\drupal\index.php my home page? 2) Based on your answers to the above questions, what would you enter for the base_url on settings.php? 3) Is that all I have to do to preview my website at http://geozoo2/, or do I need to set geozoo2 up as an Apache virtual server, the same as I've done for my other websites? A drupal site that's run fine for quite a while just started producing this error. Any ideas what the cause is? [drupal-support] howto widen the content part of the page

hello, how can i make the content part of the page more wider then the default? I would like to have it to be best at 1024x768 - dont beat me! :-) there ist much waste of free space on the right side... If i create a foto album there is only space for two little thumbs/row but there would be room for another three pics... I searched the css-files in my default theme directory but could not find anything helpfull... TIA Torsten

*Hello everyone, I've just tried to use image_import to upload a couple of pictures to one of my galleries and ended up getting the following error message: Fatal error*: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in */usr/local/apache2/htdocs/test_site/includes/image.inc* on line *222 BTW, I've increased max_execution_time to 50 in php.ini and the error still persists. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Best, Leo *

[drupal-support] ecommerce module on 4.6.2

Hi, When I install the ecommerce module on a plain 4.6.2 site and load store.mysql, the /admin/modules page becomes unavailable. Safari reports "Safari can’t open the page “http://www.madcookies.com/admin/ modules”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005)" and Firefox just remains on the current page with no error. Enforcing this onto users might be inappropriate. Some people may not WANT it publicly displayed. I believe this could also be negative in the event of security issues. If your site displays "running drupal 4.6.1" publicly, you could easily be the target of that exploit that did the rounds a while ago.
