Install and configure modules only once for all websites running the same drupal install?

Hello, I have one single drupal installation for several websites. Everything is in /var/www/html/drupal (apache on Linux). The drupal/sites subfolder has one folder per website, each with its own settings.php, files/, modules/. each site has its separate mysql database. The question is if it is possible in this context (which I cannot change, doesn't depend from me) to install/configure a module once and have it work in every website using that drupal installation. If I understand itcorrectly, the answer is no, because I *could* only install one file and link to it from each modules/ folder, but I'd still have to log in to each single site to enable the module, right? Or not? TIA, D.

Collaborative editing only on some nodes?

Hello, I have a Drupal 4.7.3 website where I must allow some users to edit some nodes together. This should not be the default, and it should be possible to do even on pre-existing nodes: that is, user A creates his ten personal nodes, maintains them only by himself for six months, then decides to give write access to node #3 also to user B and write access to node #8 also to user C. How can this be done in Drupal? Which modules or settings should I use, and what is the relevant documentation? Remember I want this to be the exception, not the rule, as it would not be needed for most nodes. TIA, D.

Call to undefined function block_list after upgrade

So, an old drupal site (4.4.x) finally gets upgraded. Everything works OK, through the various database upgrades to 4.7.0, and then I run the update.php for 4.7.3 and it seems to run the last three system updates OK, too. Then, when I fire up the index page, I get: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: block_list() in /home/hackneytuc/www/includes/theme.inc on line 935 Why should block_list() be undefined? It's in the block module, isn't it? I've tried switching the status of the block module in the system table directly from within MySQL but that makes no difference - I cannot access any of the site, because this fatal error message comes up every time. Any suggestions as to what is causing it, or how I can get round it? Thanks, Nick

How to create html content when using TinyMCE?

Hello, I'm running Drupal 4.7.3 with the latest version of TinyMCE. Everything's working great, but when I change the input format for a page to Full HTML, it still uses TinyMCE. So, when I save the page it renders everything with <pre> tags so that it displays the code on the page. In the TinyMCE settings, I have Show disable/enable rich text editor toggle set to true. Is there something else I need to do to use the Full HTML input format? - jody

contact form spam

Yesterday, I got some spam through my site contact form. Not entirely sure what to do, if anything. Should I do something? I could find the spam ip addresses and ban them, of course. Should I be worried about the site being vulnerable? :( My danger sense isn't going off, but that could just because I'm really ignorant in these sorts of things. I use site5 and am running a few Drupal sites. I couldn't tell you whether they support it or not, though, because I have no need for my host to support Drupal since I don't use Fantastico or any other of the type to install it. TinyMCE problem - won't allow line breaks

Hello, I'm running drupal 4.7.3 on a redhat 4AS server with the latest version of TinyMCE. I'm having a problem with TinyMCE. In the editor, I insert line breaks and they look fine in the editor. But, when I save the page, the line breaks are missing. I edit the page, and they show up in the editor still, but not in the page once I save it. Any ideas what may be causing this? - jody
