Answer bob's question I checked the role and permission level, basicaly I use the default setting --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search.

Answer based on this thread: When I posted to mail list, I did not change the "user login" block configure, all are default setting, I also can see the login window, but can not see the logout link for autherticated user But now I had more troube, I click the check box "show block for specific roles" for "autthenticated user" under "user login" block. I can ot go back to admin to reset it, plus there is no login window and logout link.... do you know how to set it back? BTW, how to reply the email from maillist thread? When you create an authenticated user, that use only has the permissions granted to that role by the admin. Go to administer, the look for something like "roles" or "user permissions" (I am using 5.0, may not be the same). The Admin can control what parts of the site are visible to the various roles (such as authenticated user). The default is to not give much authority to a role. Hi I am new to drupal. We installed Drupal 6. I created a authenticated user, when it login, I can not see user name and logout link. Content Structure

I am working on importing a large set of HTML pages. There are about 12K pages organized into 40 volumes. Each volume it seems will average about 300 pages. I am working with the Import HTML module to get them into Drupal, and thus far, initial tests look good. I have a few questions how to structure the data however: 1. How can I create 'next' and 'prev' links to allow the user to move easily between pages? 2. Shall I use one taxonomy vocabulary with 40 entries to label each page as to which volume it belongs to? 3. With regard to images, there are 'image references' in the import files which refer to images named the same as the HTML file. These references are not HTML--they are plain text like <Image Reference Vol 02 Page 8>. I was thinking to do the import and then make a script to run through the imported data and convert those to IMG tags. I suppose I could also accomplish that in real time on each page request, but a one-time script seems to make more sense to me. Any input is appreciated. :) Thanks, Fred

changing the display of the breadcrumb trail in blog module

PHPTAL engine & inline JS

Hi All, I've discovered drupal just couple weeks ago and I like it :) "Pro Drupal Development" bought and read and I'm ready to play with it :) PHPTAL looks really nice in Dreamweaver so I'd like to use it in my sites. But there's a problem with JavaScript - on output the apostrophe char ' is replaced by ' It happens only with PHPTAL theme engine (zental theme was used) - doesn't matter if apostrophe was inserted via drupal_add_js(..., 'inline') or like in FCKeditor as $element['#suffix']. Is it a feature of PHPTAL? Does it encodes everything?
